Bruno Fernandes is suspended for next week at Anfield.
It certainly saves us from all the antics and the whining from this so-called "captain" and the fact that he never shows up in big away matches anyway.
With him not available and Rashford likely to be dropped again , we could actually see a team giving it a real go and putting in the effort.
We definitely seem to play better without these two
The one positive from today

Liverpool don't really play to Darwins strengths but there's always effort and a player there.
7 and 6 are decent numbers this season so far. There's only a few players in the league with better assist stats, he does create chaos.
He has the same Pl stats this year as city's alvarez and if he played more 90s he def have more goals.
Def puts in more effort than 90% of the United team.

Darwin is fun to watch and leaves his all on the field which is why fans love him. Not even in the top 10 best Liverpool strikers in the PL era though.
He has the tools just not the brain…

United have always played more cohesively without Rashford in the starting line-up. He's just not good enough as a starter full-stop. Never has been, never will be.
Not entirely convinced that fernandes is anything like that level of an issue.
I do worry that, if he has any sense of ambition, he will just walk away from the club after being asked too often to carry so many deadbeats around him. Particularly as his career-age is at the point it currently is
The dopey 'antis' will probably get their poorly thought through objective realised, but just not in the way they expect.
Silly people

There seems to be a feeling amongst United fans tonight that the "captain" intentionally picked up that yellow card today so he won't be part of the massacre next Sunday at Anfield.

Bruno is many things, but not a coward.

Really? Throwing himself down and rolling around at the slightest touch would suggest that he's a coward. Not to mention all the antics he does.

I'd play two holding midfielders and put McT in the no. 10 slot.
It's a big ask though of Kobbie Mainoo if he's one of the two (and I think he'd have to be, with Amrabat).
Personally I'd start Rashford for this one, out on the left.
Also, AWB should return.

Agreed on the last point about AWB returning. Dalot is certainly the biggest cheerleader on the team not much of a footballer.

7 goals and 6 assists so far. Should be double goals with the chances he's had but it will come. Should improve on the 14 goals and 4 assists he got last season but needs to be getting closer to 30. I'm confident he'll do that.

I struggle to think of any striker who is clearly very hot and miss with their finishing, actually improving significantly and become more deadly. Usually it goes the other way.
Strikers are usually natural great finishers who need to add other bits to their games, not the other way around.

Hard to disagree with this. It's staggering that they've had the lad a year and the goals at Anfield are exactly the same size as they were the day he signed.
