This game has absolutely no significance at all. I would rest the whole first 11. Theres no point risking any injuries. Some of the youth players need to be given a run out.

This mindset of resting players is trash. These guys should be able to play most games. Only in early rounds of FA cup and league cup does it make sense to rest players.

More not letting them get injured.

They probably could all play but down the line performance levels will drop. We've got to be looking forward we've got a trip to Liverpool in the not too distant future and we want to make sure everyone is as fresh as possible it could be the difference between getting a result or not getting a result.
We've been playing a game pretty much every three days for three months we've now got a situation where we can pretty much leave the first team at home and have a week off that is gold dust. How many times in season do you go into a game where the result doesn't matter, hardly ever.

This would be my team given that it is a totally DEAD rubber :-
Ramsdale,
Cedric, Kiwior, Sousa, Walters,
Elneny, Jorginho, Trossard,
Cozier-Duberry, Nelson,
Nketiah
We need to manage the fatigue of the first team, but no doubt Arteta will not do this…😡
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sousa is a left back isn't he. Walters I think is a youth team version of Tomi so would put him at centre back.
I would go one step further though and play Nwaneri and Myles-Skelly in the middle with Jorginho.
My gut feeling is that players like White and Odegaard who have been injured recently but just come back may get more minutes in than we expect.
I wouldn't be surprised if Arteta played fringe players and had ambitions to give some of the first team players 30-60 minutes each here like Saka and Jesus sharing the game from the right and maybe Gabriel and White playing a half each at centre back or something.

I don't think us losing would even effect who finishes second (PSV would win in H2H) so no reason for us not to rest everyone.
----------------------------------------------------------------------Our game is effectively a friendly, it has no effect on the position of any team in the Group, Arsenal are top, PSV are 2nd, the other game decides the Europa League place.

Since our League Cup run came to an end against West Ham and our FA Cup run may come to a premature end too (let's be honest, there are no guarantees against Liverpool, even at home) this game has become really really significant in terms of giving minutes to players who have not had many and will now have limited opportunity to get them.
Reason being, we may be relying on these players soon due to injuries or simply the need for rotation so they need to be somewhat match fit. Elneny needs minutes, Jorginho needs more too, I've heard Smith-Rowe is back in training he certainly needs some if ready.
Ramsdale needs them and has been very harshly done to considering he hasn't started one CL game yet but was a key figure in the team that got us in to it. Sadly chucking him this dead rubber game almost seems a bit rude now given that but it is what it is.
Kiwior is another and even Cedric, as much as it's concerning he's still at the club, if we do get past Liverpool he could be useful for RB rotation in the subsequent FA Cup rounds providing we don't draw another big team for a bit.
Nelson must start. Trossard and Nketiah should feature too but don't need the full 90. Walters and any other deserving youngsters should be given some minutes too.
The fact that we have already secured top position in the group and can't afford any injuries to the first choice XI coupled with the need to give squad players minutes means Arteta would have to be really really stoopid to not rotate heavily.
