Morning All..... Not wishing to be negative (There's a lot to be positive about Re Spurs) BUT..... The whole injury/ suspension thing has been done to death but was reading this am that there's a chance Son would be gone for up to 5 weeks from Jan 12th depending on how far South Korea go at the Asia Cup.
I think I'm right in saying that we will lose both Sarr and Bissouma to the AOC too in Jan.
What with Madders, VDV and Bentancur all likely out until the new year at the earliest, Spurs could be without arguably their best 6 players for the first month of the year.
I'm not one that expects Spurs to go mental in the transfer window (Especially Jan) but possibly not having those 6 for games in Jan into feb could really derail our season.
I know Spurs generally try to operate below the "high profile" signings but are we facing a situation where we need quantity as well as quality ?
I have no idea who we are looking at but it does feel as though our squad is about to shift from being exposed due to injuries & suspensions to being exposed again for intl call ups.
Hopefully the club has seen what the back ups are capable of and have planned accordingly !

like I said, I agree. but there's a disconnect there between the manager and the fans clearly. I would have loved to see more youth integration
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sarr 20, Udogie 21, VDV 22, Johnson 22.
We're not shy of throwing in this sort of age group but its a bit pie int eh sky to expect 18 year olds to get a chance in the PL unless they are truly good enough.
Would you want to see Dorrington at CB vs top teams like Newcastle, City, Villa? Donley starting ahead of Deki @ 10?
A few minutes here and there is how this begins and may be next season with some Euro/Carabao fixtures they may get more chances.

talking specifically about academy players
only one way to find out if they're good enough, doesn't stop other teams giving 18 year olds starts.
Skipp coming on instead of Donkey against west ham was just pretty silly

As good as Donley and Dorrington are, Ange obviously thinks they are not ready yet. Yet, being the operative word. The likes of Quansah, Smiley, Mainoo and Rico Lewis, are just ready for the prem according to their managers.
Due to the heavy workload on players of Angeball, you can see why he has protected them maybe?

Yes unless injured and anyway we ain’t stopping Sonny and I would imagine it is similar for Biss and Sarr.
I am less worried about Biss and Sarr - likely to only miss one league game - at United. The key will be to squeak through the cup at home to Burnley and get a schitt opponent for the 4th round - fingers crossed.
At risk of upsetting Devon, it will be sheer negligence if we don’t sign a CB in Jan and it should really be done on Jan 1st 00:01.
I don’t care about signing anyone else - we can take our time with that, just get a faaaacking CB
