The unbeaten run is over but it's history and we start again. Bolton after 19 games are still in a good position 2nd. 6 points behind leaders Portsmouth and above 3rd by goal difference. After going into their shell at Oxford and Portsmouth Bolton hope 2 home games before Christmas will bring goals and maximum points. Bristol Rovers at home has been a sticky fixture for Bolton. Bolton last beat rovers at home in 1989 at burnden. The 3 fixtures at the Reebok have all been 1-1. Team news. Johnston and Nlundulu out long term and Sheehan is out suspended. Likely 2 changes Dempsey for Sheehan and Adeboyejo for Böðvarsson. Likely starting 11. Baxter. Jones Santos Toal. Dacres-cogley Dempsey Thomason Maghoma Williams. Adeboyejo Charles.

Sooner or later have to give these young ones a chance. These 2 plus Khumbeni and Conway getting regular game time at Fylde.

Once upon a time
We had more success and gave young players more chances, than we are seeing these days.
If you talk to some of the old men, who made it through the old youth system. They'll tell you playing in the main stadium. Plus having a proper league and cups to have a go at was a crucial part in making the step up.
Of course, you had to have something and a chance to make it or you were ditched.
We need Mucho dollar and a revamp of the current system. Top class training pitches and the main stadium pitch upgraded to cope with a proper league for a B team.
When we've done all that, don't forget to invite a crowd to attend games.
All that's left after all that, is to convince whoever is the manager of the 1st team to give the best of the young ones a good chance.
Best of luck!
It can be done if done right. "This time next year Rodney, we could be sustainable."

Good game for Rico to miss Saturday. Roughed up at Portsmouth he looked well off the pace and not with it against rovers.

If we stay amongst the promotion hopefuls don't expect the youngsters to get too much game time. Evatt will want to keep playing the players that he has been playing all season unless there is a glut of injuries.
As for the payment slip going into the bank, I posted some weeks ago that 1.5 million has been deposited into that account which was previously empty. I suspect that it is the Swiss connection that has now confirmed the rumours that money would be available for transfers.
We will need to see if that is correct but the money is there. Ask Sharon.

That 1.5m might just cover the undersoil heating and lights bill during that cold spell we had While I was over there.
I need a result on Saturday, anything less and I'll be expecting a letter, asking me to put back the pay out on my investment. We'll need promotion to pay everybody out.

Gethin Jones is off to see Skippy in the new year
With Mendes Gomes off to enjoy warmer weather. We need to be careful with cards and injuries, you know what they say about injuries and accidents at this time of year.
Full cover is lacking in a few places, it's either go shopping, borrowing in January or prepare a few young players for the joys of 1st team football.

We're apparently already looking for Mendes Gomes cover so I'd think we'd now be looking for a loan for a defensive cover for Jones' absence as well.

Not going to Luton then. Sold out in seconds.

The cure for the away ticket supply problem is promotion. There's also a lot more dosh for all teams in the Championship.
We need to do well in the January sales for the final push to a promotion spot.
