18 PL goals in 17 games says it all. Something has to give soon. New forwards or a different system or maybe even both.

In CL we were creating and scoring but conceding for fun too. In the league we've been the opposite, we need to find the system, tactics that strikes a balance between the two.

The central midfield is the biggest issue, we lack control therefore we are far too a mess. Our wingers are not doing enough either, all this means the frontline, namely Hojlund is starved of service. When he does get a chance or half chance it is spurned because he simply needs more chances to sharpen his in game conversion. I also think we could do with a more experienced CF too. In time Hojlund will be a star, now he needs to be protected, nurtured.

Midfield is definitely a big issue. Fullbacks are too. They aren't that great defensively and offer next to nothing in attack.

And I hate to keep saying it but Antony is the biggest reason for our blunt attack. Not registered a goal or assist since April. Even Rashford has 2 goals and 3 assists this season alone and he's been abject as we all know.
Antony just isn't doing enough to be at this club. Think the PL is too tough for him and I genuinely wouldn't be shocked if he doesn't score a goal all season. He's already made it half way.

Definitely agree about the FBs, we can't do better than our current lot. We could actually spend 400m and still look short!

Going forwards, no more current "star" signings when in fact they are over valued rejects that no one wants, invest in potential, invest in future stars.

Agreed. We need to sign cheaper players who are hungry and not on insane wages.

The huge 70m deals are backfiring too much at the moment and leave us screwed when they flop.

Eth owes players nothing, these players need to prove to the manager that they are fit and reliable, if Varane can do what Maguire has done with his performances then fine, proving manager's wrong is nothing new, it's win-win for everyone. For these players as far as I am concerned survival of the fittest (no pun intended!), they should not resting on their laurels.
