PL Half Way Point - Ratings.

Overall 8/10
Atmosphere around the club has changed dramatically but still too much deadwood around. Lots of work to do still - starting next month please - but things are moving in the right direction and the squad is largely likeable again.

Ange 9/10
He's turned the club around in zero time flat. Maybe a bit gung-ho but that's part of the new way and I'm OK with it. Says it like it is, seems to see players the same way fans do which is refreshing. Only significant negative is that he seems to be asking for a bit too much aggression in tackles - indiscipline is a real problem at this point.

Top 3 players
Vicario - unbelievable find at a ridiculous price.

Maddison - everything we hoped for and more.

Udogie - immediately integral to the system.

Honourable mentions to Van de Ven, Porro, Sarr and Bissouma.

Agree with alot of things Mandy and Phil are saying.

Probably give Ange 8.5 overall. The indiscipline as Mandy says has derailed our season more than anything. Refreshing to have a manager who speaks clear and knows what he wants. A stark contrast to Fat Poch for example, who spoke in broken english and riddles.

Overall I would give an 8. To change the system from parking the bus to gung ho is one extreme to another. All without Harry Kane as well.

Top performers -

Kulu - played in two positions, every minute and reliable.

Son - Top goal scorer and another who is reliable.

Porro - Played every game as well and improved defensively.

Ange 8/10 given the injuries and thin on quality squad its testament to both him and the players how they've all adapted so quickly.

And of course this high output way of playing demands a quality and plentiful squad.


Real feel good vibe about the club again which is fantastic.

Top 3 players....

1. Vicario has been a revelation I'll admit, it felt to me we'd taken the cheap option but he's been nothing short of sensational.

2. madders....that missing link we've been crying out for going forward.

3. VdV looks absolute class so far.

Only negatives is our indiscipline.

1. Vic. Best keeper in the league for me
2. Porro. Proving me wrong
3. Udogie. Been a revelation

Aussieglue gets a 7 in my book. He'd get more if he showed any imagination when the going gets tough, but no...same old high line and push forward. Exciting but not at the 80 minute mark when you're 1 goal up.
