Well, that was nice.
The Good: So good to see us play exciting football.
The Bad: Newcastle fans - Toon Army (and the players) had a hangover.
The Ugly: Not a penalty for me. The ref was infinitely better than Rob Jones though.
Special Mention: Has to be Chris Wood. What a new signing!
The Last Time we played (Man United (A) - a 3-2 loss): 2-0 up and the ref (Mr Jones) got involved.
Turner
Worrall Boly McKenna
Aurier Danilo Yates Aina
Johnson MGW
Awoniyi
Proposed Lineup:
Turner
Montiel Niakhate Murillo Aina
Mangala Yates
MGW
CHO Wood Elanga
Subs:
Vlachula, Boly, Toffolo, Williams, Tavares, Danilo, Dominguez, Kouyate, Origi
Other than the middle 2, the team picks itself!
Injuries:
Aurier, Awoniyi, Felip and Sangare (suspended).
Laughing @ Derby:
Hennessy, McKenna, Omobamidele, Worrall, Aguilera and Santos
Form:
Forest (H) - W1 D1 L4 GF8 GA11 - 16th (18th in the Home Form table)
Man United (A) - W3 D1 L2 GF6 GA4 - 7th (5th in the Away Form table)
The recent win against Villa was their first in 5 (all competitions).
Prediction:
They have had a LOT of injuries, but have welcomed back a few recently. The Home win should give them confidence, but a great atmosphere and a quick start could see us sneaking this.
3-2….to Forest.

Elanga was brilliant tonight.

MGW got player of the match, to me Yates was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch, i thought he was excellent.
Nice finish by MGW though.

Fully agree Yates was all over the pitch. He must be horrible to play against.

Waited 29 years for this momentous victory, this win has cleansed me of the memories of the 8-1 loss in 1999, as well as the recent defeat in August when we were ahead by 2-0 within the first 5 minutes. I love you Nuno !!

Even better was Fester winning 9-0 at Southampton which took our humiliation out of the record books.
Cheers Fester.

Turner's distribution is abysmal...
----------------------------------------------------------------------
With the types of passes and lack of final ball Turner was displaying today I fully expect United to put in a bid of 80-90M in Jan. Perfect replacement for Antony !

It's certainly cheered me up, I was beginning to think we were going down and the players weren't good enough.
Steve obviously needed a break.
