Over the next ten matches...

Reasonable aim to achieve eight wins minimum and spot in cup final from these fixtures -

Saturday 30th December - PremierLeague - Luton (A)

Saturday 6th January - FA Cup - Preston (H)
Tuesday 9th - League Cup - Middlesbrough (A)
Saturday 13th - PremierLeague - Fulham (H)
Tuesday 23rd - League Cup - Middlesbrough (H)
*Saturday 27th - FA Cup - 4th Round* (Draw kind to us again)
Wednesday 31st - PremierLeague - Liverpool (A)

Sunday 4th February - PremierLeague - Wolves (H)
Monday 12th - PremierLeague - Palace (A)
Saturday 17th - PremierLeague - Manchester City (A)

Not unrealistic, considering newly promoted sides and lower leagues sides account for five of those eight wins. Chelsea are Palace and Fulham' bogey team. Wolves at home is usually a dominant win or bore draw. Matches at Anfield can go either way. Current teams strengths and style tend to lend itself better performances & results against the so-called "tougher" sides.

Big month ahead for Broja to stake his claim, make or break I dare say. Poch prepared him for this window of opportunity when the first choice striker is unavailable.

Warm-up matches against lower sides in the forthcoming month to enable injured players (Chilwell, Chukwuemeka, Enzo, Sanchez, Chalobah provided he stays) up to workable capacity are helpful.
Need them in tip-top condition second half of the season

Nico depending on how far or not, Senegal progress in AFCON should be back for February fixtures.
Would be ideal to have full compliment of squad to work with, but not holding my breath on that one.

Win those matches, and you might just consolidate your place in the top half of the league.

£1bn spent just to go backwards 😀🤣

Liverpool and City will attack us so we may have a chance of getting something from the games. The rest, it's our customary 75% possession and a toss of a coin whether we win or lose by a goal.

Why? Provide the argument that a difficult month will "break" him when young players (particularly developed at Cobham) get ridiclous leeway with you? What's different about him?

I'm not taking the p!ss, I'm actually curious. And I kind of agree.

Chances are Poch (+ transfer committee) have already set their mind on striker in the summer.
I'd like to think it's a very much fluid situation wherein Broja plays his part by performing and scoring showing that he's viable competition for the starting striker role (I believe he is), thus alter the intended summer plans.

Harsh on Broja, particularly with leading the line being a thankless task and hardest role to master in a short period, but that's the reality.
No better opportunity for Broja will arise this season...in the fittest shape he can be, Nkunku quite a bit away from being 100% and the predominate starting centre forward is out in the forthcoming month.
Push comes to shove Nkunku or Palmer deployed in "False 9' role which seals Broja' fate.
