Ticket pricing increases.

Yes, the down side of the clubs shrinking economy.

Which has been created by the clubs diminishing competitive ability.

As we know football at this level is a results based business, winning/ success on the pitch equates to entry into elite competition, after which the benefits are increased revenue through a raised level of club profile and the knock on effect of higher sponsorship & greater revenues as the club progresses in the competitions.

Bohley- Clearlake seem to be pursuing a more organic approach, investing in youth prospects ( player banking, which can be considered a luxury practice, in such a competitive league)

Opposed to simultaneously maintaining a top level of competitiveness , combined with developing a youthful side, player banking, ensuring the clubs economy stays at level where the club can afford to operate, rebuild, restructure without being vulnerable to FFP sanctions, without being forced to increase ticketing prices, remove the away day travel subsidy at a time when all supporters are feeling the pinch due the financial crisis, for what to save pennies?

Now the away day subsidy and the ticketing prices may not effect those who do not engage in either of these forms of support, so they may not give a 7oss, if these prices increase or not, but the life blood of the club are the supporters who week in week make the journeys. These supporters deserve respect.

Removing subsidies & increasing pricing due to poor decision making, (the effect is then the clubs shrinking economy) after investing and spending 3.7 bln into the club and backing the club into a FFP between a rock and hard place scenario is absurd.

Feel free to call this article a rant, moan, please continue to bury heads in the sand, but these are some of the realities of the Bohley- Clearlake project to date.

We live all in hope that the ownership finally get over the learning curve period, sooner rather than later.

It's that well kown business model of charging more for an increasingly weaker product 🤣

I think my season ticket has gone up once in over 20 years, I've been expecting an increase for a while.

Yeah, the law of diminishing returns

My father back in the day, had a restaurant, when food prices went past a point where he had to increase the prices, on occasion i recollect that he made the plates smaller

Price increases are all fine if you can afford them, but into days world, bringing children and so a lot of people are feeling stretched.

Removing subsidies and increasing prices is not exactly a policy that will endear our free spending patrons to the support.

Happy New Year to you and your families!

Expecting the long overdue increase next season after it being frozen under Mr A for many years, but personally I have had a bit of luck as in November I reached 65 and now qualify for a Senior Citizen Season Ticket so the price I pay will be halved, which will be a touch.
