Is he just one dimensional player and has finally been found out? Maybe too predictable and can’t offer much else?
Or are his poor performances down to fatigue and burn out?
He’s been playing very poorly for a long time now- well into last season and he seems to escape the criticism and scrutiny as other players.
He’s played a club record continuous games in a row so has he been well and truly burnt out or do we think he’s just been over-rated the entire time and is just a good player in moments during the season?
Genuinely interested to know how people rate him.
At the beginning he seemed promising but the drop off in his performances has gone on for such a long time, doubts are now creeping In about him.
What will it take to get back the form at the beginning of last season? Would it be a change of tactics or simply more rest time?
I’m on the fence at the minute. For me, if he continues this way to the end of this season then I’d struggle to see a world class player there.

Think it's a mixture of factors
1. It's actually being overstated, he's still playing well by most standards, just not up to what he did last year.
2. Fatigue, Arteta never rests him
3. The performance of the team in general means we're more predictable and teams can double up on our wingers without space being exposed elsewhere.
4. Players figuring out how to defend against him a little better.

I wouldn't say he's been found out he's been in the first team for the best part of four years if he wasn't all that he wouldn't of got this far he wouldn't of been England's player of the year two years running. He's been overplayed and with no overlapping support often he's faced with two or three opponents in front of him, not even Messi wouldn't be able to deal with that, it's a similar story on the left. Our wide players was one of our biggest strengths last year, seems crazy to move away from that.

He’s a superb player that’s being over played by club and country. At Arsenal he’s fairly easily doubled up on as rarely does anyone go outside of him but he still puts in good numbers.
He’s absolutely being over played though. History is littered with numerous players who clocked up well over 100 games by 21 and then break down in their late 20’s.

20G/A in about 26/27 games I think. That's a very good return, given our struggles in attack.

He's 100% been overplayed by Arteta. Even when he was injured or a doubt for games arteta would have him in the squad and start him most of the time. When games were won he then leaves him on until the 80th min for some daft reason.
He had a spell a few months ago when he was going off injured every other game and arteta would still start him and keep him on almost the whole game.

He's been overplayed and overrelied on by the manager. Still a brilliant player but the above along with often having 2 or 3 opposition players straight on him has seen him be less effective than before.

Arsenal have just been found out
Saka looks wasted and he's been found out. He's been poor lately but he is a good player though. Hyped beyond belief as usual because he's English.
Nowhere near Robben's level though. Robben was sheer class.
