Like it's been said it's a kinda no risk signing, he's pash, he goes back but, and it's a HUGE but, if he clicks he could well be an Ange type of player, I have seen him a fair few times and felt on occasion he was simply unlucky, makes good runs, has pace and work rate, I've no idea how it will pan out for him and Spurs but surely worth the gamble?

Exactly, if it goes well we can keep him, if not - he'll have provided some cover for a few months for a key position.
It's growing on me, keeps transfer budget available for other positions too.

TW will benefit from Maddison playing behin him
potentially a lethal duo

Same here. Especially considering the lack of attacking options we've got right now. Seems a very sensible signing. Now for a CB

Prior to his move to PL, I remember watching him fair few times in the Bundesliga and he was deadly...If Ange can get his confidence up he can bring back that clinical finishing too...Remember how average Ben Davies was up recently, and now he is undroppable for us

Davies will be dropped as soon as the CBs are back and up to speed. But I get what you are saying

Wasn't Salah a flop at Chelsea?, look at him now in a system that suits him, maybe he will click with us

I may be one of the only ones for this transfer, maybe influenced by his first Leipzig spell rather than his current/recent form.
We need options in those areas. He ticks a lot of boxes in terms of his pace, workrate, ability to win ball back high. He used to to an excellent finisher but confidence has drained from him playing in a Chelsea team that didn't suit him at all. I do feel he's a good fit for us and with Ange seemingly able to get the best out of players, a 6 month loan seems low risk to me. With sonny away he does offer much needed pace. We were so sluggish yesterday, Johnson aside, not pace and thrust in forward areas. Kulu, lo celso, skipp, bents, Richy all one paced. Werner one of fastest around.

Most sensible post on this thread!
