Started with the same 12 unavailabilities. Home side ended up with more very early on.
Pound-for-pound had the better players and team at our disposal but still deplorable performance top to bottom from the outset. Failed to adequately test a shoddy looking third-choice goalkeeper and side with litany of injuries to key players.
Having said that...Just one of the three gilt-edged chances falling to Palmer converted, changes the complexion of the match (see last match and flurry of goals that ensued). Off-day in the finishing department.
Subs appalling too, when Enzo got a foothold of the match subbed off, performance didn't warrant being taken off...I can think of at least two players in Sterling & Gallagher that were putting in the most nondescript rotten displays. They managed to survive the full-match somehow! Dismal.
(No idea why aerial crosses towards Broja stopped when that proved to be a working / winning formula in the last match!).
The moment Enzo was gone and Palmer moved back into deeper areas lost his effectiveness. Being brutally honest...Generally drifts in and out of matches, works in moments which produce goals contributions at present.
Impact better served higher up the pitch arriving into the box out of possession.
Disasi & Caicedo the best of a bad bunch showing attacking quickness, provided the strongest sequence of play through the opponents defensive line - https://video.twimg.com/ext_tw_video/1744823917280157696/pu/vid/avc1/1280x720/krNoCWFK9M1iGiyA.mp4?tag=12
Nothing too crazy, simple play between the lines cut through them.
Cannot possibly defend that

for eg my team has had about 13 of our first team players missing for more the season so far than have been available for it ..... including 4 that have been pretty much season long injuries.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Spurs have had the following missing for 3 plus games this season:
Son
Udogie
Romero
Perisic
Solomon
VDV
Maddison
Davies
Bentancur
Bissouma
Sarr
Sessegnon
It’s been mental. You do wonder what impact the winter World Cup had on these players
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Roofe - pretty much season long
Danillo - same
Davis- same
Lovelace - same
Injured for 3 months or more
Lawrence
Jack
Injured for more than a month
Raskin
Cantwell
Yilmaz
Balogun
Souttar
Davies
Goldson
Matondo
Davies
every year these problems seem more and more prevalent
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think you probably need to have actually heard of player to miss them, whodumbtit?

Not every club has these injuries though. Chelsea have the most injuries of any club in europe the last 3 years.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Really? Current players out
Arsenal 7
Aston Villa 7
Bournemouth 9
Brentford 11
Brighton & Hove Albion 8
Burnley 5
Chelsea 10
Crystal Palace 7
Everton 5
Fulham 5
Liverpool 10
Luton Town 5
Manchester City 6
Manchester United 13
Newcastle United 10
Nottingham Forest 10
Sheffield United 7
Tottenham Hotspur 12
West Ham United 7
Wolverhampton Wanderers 6
----------------------------------------------------------------------
not sure why you've put that...doesn't have any relevance to what I said.
In terms of days/games out, we've had the most injuries of any team in the last 3 years.
Was the highest in the PL in 21/22. Second highest I believe last year in 22/23 and us and man utd have the highest this season so far this season.
Can't remember where I find the average on twitter over the last few season but will have a look and see if I can find it.

Some of Chelsea injuries are for players that are generally injury prone though anyway. It seems to me that Chelsea have had a combination of the normal amount of injuries from game volume, plus the players that generally struggle with injuries.

Enzo and Caicedo must be the worst value pound for pound central midfield ever created.

He had a pretty decent season at Napoli tbf!
seems like the type of player that has been able to get away with being less disciplined in poorer leagues and doing a bit more of his own thing.
You can see there is a decent player in there.... just a pity the guy in the brain room aint the brightest !
