You guys call Arsenal a big club, yet you all have such a small club attitude. Our manager did well to turn us around as a club and I will admit that. However, he has taken this club as far as he can.
This is Mikel’s 5th year as Arsenal manager and his record so far is:
- One FA Cup in the Covid year
- Two Charity Shields which are glorified friendlies.
The only major cup hes won, he did it with the left overs of Wengers and Emery’s team.
This should never be acceptable with any club that considers itself a big club. Any other club who has ambitions like us would have sacked him a long time ago several times over. I do appreciate that there was different scenarios and he perhaps needed time. He was given 2019-2022. 3 years to turn us from the mid table club in the wilderness to a challenging team again.
Since then he has made us worse Most of his transfers have been questionable including the failed Havertz project, a number of poor players and the strange decision to cause an issue with keeper.
He has performed poorly in every domestic cup and European campaign hes been involved in other than 2020’s fa cup. Hes finished 8th two times running, bottled top 4 and then bottled 1st place after being top for 93% of the season.
This year hes made us less effective going forward and most of our performances have been sheet. The results have started to catch up with the performances.
We are allowing our new golden age to be ruined by a manager who is not at the level to manage a top club. Hes a mid-table/Europa conference standard. If we want a young future Super Manager, then lets go and get Xabi Alonso. If hes not free yet, then lets get an experienced manager whilst we wait.
Arteta will not win anything with our club, hes peaked and its clear to see.
If we want to be a big club, then we need to act like one. Sack Arteta and get someone in who knows how to win a trophy. Maybe its too late this season, but we can at least get the foundations ready for next season.
The fact some of you Arteta lovers can't accept that hes peaked shows that we arent a big club fanbase. You will eventually get to that point but by that point our best players will have left and we will have a team that isnt capable of competing anymore. We may even have to pay some clubs to take our players again!
Time to wake up and say Arteta OUT
Ridiculous from Arsenal Fans

My main criticism of Arteta is that I believe he has been more influenced by Moyes than Wenger/Pep. He spent the first two years obsessing about defending. Spending 100s of millions in the process.
__________
That sounds very much like Pep tbfspent shed loads on defenders over the years.

Pep spent loads on attackers as well.
Pep just spent spent spent.

When fans started to turn against Wenger it was because he was only achieving Top4 and the odd FA Cup. Fans wanted more. Wenger was only competing against Ferguson in his early years. After that along came Chelsea and City with their Lottery wins combined with having to pay the stadium off. Wenger was still achieving Top4 with lower quality players than he had in his early years.
Arteta has done ok and the board have been more patient with him than they were with Emery .
Arteta had us near the bottom 3 around xmas time a couple of years ago and still wasnt sacked.
Arteta needs at least a couple more seasons to fully flourish.
On the other hand no one is challenging for a title with Eddie Nketiah up front.
We do need a goal scorer

Same reason why Liverpool's title has an asterisk

Out of interest which competitions are you expecting Arsenal to win?
League - City will always be favourite, a team will need to be truly exceptional and have some luck to be ahead of them at the end of the season.
Champions League - Better teams than Arsenal will fail to win due to the quality in the competition.
FA Cup - Knock out so always a chance, but last 5 years have been won by City x2, Liverpool, Arsenal and Leicester. So you could argue that Arsenal have done quite well.
League Cup - lets go back 10 years, City x 6, Liverpool x 1, United x 2, Chelsea x 1. Not small teams winning.
It's pretty hard to win trophies, doesn't mean a team is moving in the right direction.

We should be winning at least 1 trophy a season. At the very least, make a final of a cup every season
