Can we put out 11 players good enough to get a result against United?
Good News: Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin will be included in the main squad to play against ManUtd at Old Trafford this weekend.
Bad news: We still have a lot of players who will be absent:
1. Son: Asian Cup
2. Sarr: AFCON
3. Bissouma: AFCON
4. Romero: Hamstring issue
5. Maddison: Ankle issue
6. Solomon: Knee Issue
7. Perisic: ACL issue
8. Veliz: Knee ligament
9. Ben Davies: Hamstring issue
10. Lo Celso: Hamstring issue
The new and the missing

Ange has said Romero with squad, but this weekend might be too soon. Dragusin training with squad, can play if work permit clears.

He's playig games with media me thinks7
Swerved answering fully about availability of Romero, and almost nothing on VdV
I expect to see them both along with Dragusin in the squad tomorrow at Old Toilet

VDV
Udogie
Bentancur
Holbjerg
Werner
Kulusevski
Johnson
Richarlison
Subs :
Forster
Emerson

I can’t imagine that Lo Celso is available , unless he passes late fitness test

Very contradictory about Romero, in one breath he said it might be a bit too quick for him this weekend and then in the next he said he has been told that Romero will be ready Sunday.
We can put a decent 11 out, but there is little left after that with these injuries.
This game is not the be all and end all though, losing this doesn’t end out season, we will still be very much alive for CL qualification

Are we really sure VDV is back?
That was a really bad hamstring pull......I'm doubtful.

The injuries across the league this season are a complete joke.
I think as it stands we’ve currently got 10 players missing also. United are in a similar situation.
When will the powers that be realise that the stupid amount of games is actually damaging the product? Fans want to see the likes of Maddison and Trent play football.

van de Ven had the same injury few months ago and recovered from it very quickly. His game depends on his pace so he will always push himself to the brink of another injury. That is given. If he's done his training - he's been training for a while, I am sure we will see in the game.
But this game is not end all for us. Utd are 9 points behind us and even if they win this game, they will be back to being inconsistent again.
THerefore risking vdv may not be crucial for us. We have Dragusin who has been playing so match sharpness not in question. Lot of injuries, and gaps still in the side due to them.
I can't wait to see Timo Werner linking up with our other front players and see them cause Utd some awkawrd times.

Well, that says it all...obviously he did not recover fully from the previous hamstring pull because he went and did it again.

just "normal" with his playing style, but we just have tune to it
