What's working? And not!?!

It seems like most fans are pretty much aligned as to what the issues at United seem to be. I am not sure as fans how good the fans are seeing what is actually broken but lets assume its pretty obvious and whom ever now takes over footballing matters can also see it and more importantly knows how to fix it.

Going by the noise around the club off the pitch I wont even address that here but on the pitch.

GK- I think 90% of us agree Onana is not the answer to a new keeper is needed

CB- Varne on his day top class but not reliable, Lisandro and another proper CB and it should be ok.

RB- Deffo needs upgrading

LB- This is the only position where you can say Shaw has this and is good enough

CM- Mainoo is a breath of fresh air but if the club wants to compete Eriksen, Casi are now no longer viable. Bruno in a good side does amazing but need a new CM for sure

LM/RM- Tons of options out wide and have had for a long time but are they actually good enough???

ST- Rasmus right now isn't the answer I really hope he goes on to become the new Halaand but desperately need an experienced front man and ASAP!

The bigger question is new DoF new Scouting Team new Manager?? And all the above... do we have the right leaders in place with Ratcliffe and co? As this deffo requires an open heart surgery YIKES!

a manager who wants your team to have the ball for the first time in nearly a decade would be a good start

Ten Hag was this. Then we broke him when he watched us trying to play possession football.

There’s nobody else jumping out as a really obvious candidate, although maybe they should seriously consider Emery.

For me it all comes down to the manager not being good enough and tactically inept.
We've how Ange has managed to impose a style at Tottenham and he's only been there for a few months.

What is Spurs style?

Possession based football playing out from the back with the keeper making a back 3 with two ball playing centre backs that can break opposition lines, and the full backs inverting into a press resistant midfield to flood it and give extra options. Quick one or zero touch passing moving the ball upfield, pinning opposition defences back with a fast, hard pressing front 3 while the defence pushes up in a high line. It’s about challenging players to be as brave as possible in possession and dominate all the positive stats, high risk at times but high reward when properly executed and very good to watch.

Ace

I was asking our numbnut. Thanks for telling him how you play.

I think way too much is made out of the phrase “playing style” I seem to have more simplistic views of football.

What Ange has done as far as In a see is that he has had all your players buy in to what he wants you to do.
