21 July 1969 was an historic date when a man walked on the moon for the first time (unless you are a conspiracy sceptic). December 1972 was the last time (same proviso). Over 50 years have passed now so what was the multi-billion dollar point of it all?
By comparison the recent unmanned failed moon missions are laughable. It wouldn't surprise me if the next Jaxa Lunar Roving Vehicle was a 1970's Toyota.
Progress?

Of course it was faked. Who put the camera outside to film them taking that 'first step'
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was mounted on the side of the lunar module.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought this didn't need explaining
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It does as this is one of the main pieces of 'evidence' the crackpots have. That and the flag supposedly blowing in the wind.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The blowing in the wind one is odd.
On one hand they'll believe scientists that state that things shouldn't be blowing in the wind there but, atbthe same time, disbelieve scientists who state man has been on the moon. It's all very arbitrary. It's almost like they use whatever science confirms their narrative.

Yeah, I mean you can literally see the pole across the top of the flag, holding it up, not much believing needed here.

You would think that by now one of the hundreds of people who would have had to have been in on this conspiracy would have coughed up by now.

The fact that it looks so desolate could be convincing apart from the fact that it could just as easily be Bournemouth beach.

The amount of people it would have taken to keep it secret would be crazy. It just would have been disproved by now if it was fake.

That’s what always cracks me up about these grand conspiracies. And it massively overestimates the power and competence of American institutions. You only need to read up on Watergate and how comical that was to know that they wouldn’t be able to pull off a conspiracy on the scale of faking the moon landing.

I can picture Deep Throat telling Bob Woodward “. You might want to look in to that Moon landing while you are at it”.

The Irish Space Agency moon landing efforts were a failure. Obviously they had to launch at night while they could see the target, but the headlights failed. After an anxious few hours of trying to find reverse, a quick handbrake turn allowed them to return to Earth's atmosphere.
The final few hours were horrific as the crew were running out of Guinness and becoming sober. Fortunately they lived to tell what little they can remember of the adventure and became pilots for Ryanair.

Capricorn One is a good movie on a similar subject.

It's fairly watchable, but it's not a documentary - it's totally fiction
