The decision to play this game ahead of the cup fixture at the weekend was totally justified. We got an important win, we get a cup game to get vital competitive minutes into some players, and we have the chance to rest key players for the match at Bristol. A win at Bristol and we are in the autos, if only for a few hours.
The win reminds Saints and Tractor boys that we are not going away and puts additional pressure on them.
Meanwhile, we are growing in maturity. To hold a lead for 75 minutes against a decent Norwich team took a lot of cohesion and discipline, especially against Rowe and Sara, given the form they are in.
It would be nice to see us finishing our chances more efficiently, but this aspect aside, Farke is constructing a confident, versatile Leeds team that looks more (whisper it quietly) equipped to succeed in its promotion challenge.
Well done Farke

I know its been said over and over again, but thinking back when the season started Farke had it could be argued the hardest job in the league, I think he's done a great job and sometimes I wonder what might have been had he had a better team to start with!..
Some bring him down, but some did Bielsa as well, any coach at any team gets things right, but they also have mistakes in them!..
Where we are now and the togetherness the team are showing only goes to show he's as good as any in this league, and I'll say if he takes us up than he'll be looked at in the same light as Bielsa!..
Keeps us up and he'll be looked up as better!..
But that's where the 49ers have to give him what nobody gave Bielsa!..

Personally I think he's doing great. Right guy for the job.

The only worry now is that he is odds on to win manager of the month for January…

Be a bigger worry if he wasn’t.

He’s doing a great job, that’s only tempered by two teams both making record starts and another going on a club record unbeaten run. We’ve got more points after 29 games than we did winning the league under Bielsa, any other season we’d be top two already.
I’m not sure if it’s what Farke’s doing with the squad or maybe because we’ve already had that 16 year wait to the premier league broken, but it feels like there’s less panic/pressure in the stadium than 4 years ago.

That might have more to do with new ownership them losing Orta!..

Rodon, Ampadu, Kamara and now Gruev have all brought stability to the spine of the team. We have the second meanest defence in the division, no? Meslier's definitely underemployed in many of our games. And we had to dig deep last night, during the second half. We came through a stern test, pretty much without incident. I am so much more confident about results now because the spine of the team seems so solid.
How much will Rodon set us back? Ampadu at 7mill is the best business done this season so far. Still hoping for a right back at least.

I'd rate him at £10-12m without the influence of the £13m and £18m squandered on Koch and Llorente respectively.
