Are we set for Dominance?

The break up of the team, Hendo, fab, mane, firmino,AOC,Keita, Milner all gone many predicted liverpool will have to rebuild and will take time, but what has actually happened is we played so poorly last year WITH most of those players klopp knew what the problem was, then the unexpected Oil barons bought our MF pretty much and klopp acted.

The unwanted sales of Fab and Hendo has actually been made into a huge positive and the replacements are better in terms of goal output and progression passing.

Injuries hit, yet even this has turned into a positive with the emergence of Quansah, Bradley, Clarke, Kaide, Doak and back up players like Kostas, Endo and Gomez performing at such a high level.

The age of the squad is very young, even the likes of more established stars isn't that old with Jota, TAA, Diaz, Konate, Nunez, Gakpo etc quite young.

People will mention City, but KDB is 32 and Walker is 33, Silva in nearly 30 and Halaand will be gone soon to Madrid no doubt, if we do win the premier this year then city older players will obvs be a year older and they are on their way down; Walker, KDB, Silva ain't getting better or younger.

City of course DO have a lot of younger quality players like us, but their best players are their oldest..arguably bar Rodri imo.

So, with the liverpool squad shaping up nicely and squad depth huge and impressive, are we about to enter a dominant period (back to back premier titles, Cups etc)???

scary when pep goes too, lego head could actually win the league

Let’s not go overboard now.

Even the assistant managers and development coach are leaving.

Why announce it now though? Maybe it’ll push us on or something.

Didn’t United tank when Fergie announced his retirement early
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah they only won the league
----------------------------------------------------------------------
it will be a good reason if/when the season Flopps
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I couldn’t remember - didn’t they go on a bad run the first time he said he would leave?

Even more so for dominance now! Klopps genius in leaving a superb squad behind to be taken on by pep ljinders.

doubling down is always admired
----------------------------------------------------------------------
especially when wrong (again):

Assistant managers Pepijn Lijnders and Peter Krawietz, as well as elite development coach Vitor Matos, will also leave their positions at the end of the season, with Lijnders keen to pursue his own career in management.

I think it must've been all that wind over the past few days that pushed him over the edge.

Haha, good old GB

I’m going to miss Klopp pulling hammies when he’s losing it on the touchline

Yep, then he announced he was staying instead as the old trouble & strife didn’t want him hanging around the house all day.

When he eventually did leave a few years later they won the league that season with a pretty bang average team, the van Persie signing was old Gammon Faces final master stroke and the thing that got him over the line that one last time. He knew the game was up, that squad was knocking on and another rebuild was needed so he called it a day at the right time, left Moyes too much work to do though.

Klopp on the other hand will be leaving his successor in a pretty good place, other than the fact Salah is also likely to leave but even so, they’ve still got a strong squad.
