Tuesday night football and an away tie against Blackpool looking for the first of 2 wins for Bolton to get back to wembley where they won this trophy on that glorious day in April last year. History is against Bolton as they have an awful record at Bloomfield Road. Last won there in 1977. Since then it's been 14 games without a win for Bolton. The only time came away happy was the 1-1 draw in 1989 which saw Bolton get to the final of this trophy winning 2-1 on aggregate. This tie a straight knockout and if a draw at full time then a penalty shootout will decide who makes the semi final. Team news. Bolton still without Johnston, Nlundulu, Forrester, Williams injured, Jones on international duty and Sheehan and Maghoma have minor knocks. Both new signings Ramsay and Ogbeta are available for selection as is Thomason who is only suspended for the league. Thinking evatt will make maximum changes similar to the Accrington side. Possible starting 11 Coleman, Dacres-cogley Santos Toal. Ramsay Mendes Gomes Morley Thomason Ogbeta. Jerome Böðvarsson. Early Kick off 7pm.

No Santos for a couple of weeks so Taylor will slot straight in the middle along side iredale and Toal. Dacres-cogley is the option if toal doesn't make it. Forrester is back in training and could be available as well. Been good recruitment and couldn't have asked for any more. Who's paying for it is another matter.

You the fans are paying for it Benny along with Sharon, , the board, and people like Pasty who has invested in the bonds. A joint effort I would say.
Remember this, Its all for the benefit of the club at the end of the day. We needed the four signings in this window to hopefully get us over the line.
I see Portsmouth have signed eigh players, or they had a couple of hours ago. I suppose it could be more now. After their bad run of form, I think they needed to. Most are on loan. Let's hope that they don't all gel for quite some time.

It's time to switch off the power to my laptop. I will catch up in the morning, the real business has been done. Or has it?

The majority appear happy with the shopping.
19 games to go, Bolton expects to see dancing in the fountains before the last game of the season.
We can't afford anymore breakages, but you know how Wanderers don't believe in doing things the easy way.

I think top 2 is essential. We don't want to go through the lottery of the play offs with tired players and penalty shootouts. Shame Luke Matheson didn't get a loan. He won't get a game with the signings and the b team fixture list is lamentable.

Regarding Luke Matheson, Evatt has said there have been inquiries for him but he's just waiting to see if it will be a good fit for him. If it isn't, he won't be going anywhere.
As far as our business in the transfer window is concerned it looks very good but we just need to wait and see how it all pans out. Hopefully, it will be enough to get us over the line.

Just hope the lad can get fit for next season. A big blow for him.

Who remembers my comment about these injuries coming in waves?
Welcome to the ACL wave of injuries.
What wave is next on the list, there's not many left to tick off.

Such a pity regarding Conor, probably out for the best part of 12 months. A setback for both him and the club. I wish him all the best and hope that he has a complete recovery.
Just to let you guys know, I doubt that I will be on the forum this afternoon. My son and his partner are away at a late Christmas Party with his work, so we have special duties of having their two children for the weekend. My granddaughter is dancing in a competition at Morecambe, and my grandson has tennis lessons in Lancaster. A full day from 1:00 pm to around 6:00 pm as far as I can ascertain.
Here's hoping for a win.
