Forgot to put this up and may put some comments in if I have time.
2-3 (Ironside, Rowe) - a win! No rationale!
DPL v Bradford City

I suppose I might refer readers to my earlier preview of the postponed League match. Since then Bradford have lost to Swindon - away 2-0.
Although they are well down the table they have 8 points more than Rovers, so my prediction is probably foolhardy!

Bradford 2-1 Rovers
Ironside to score ⚽

As normal, one never really knows how the Rovers will play, and with 5 changes, it could be for the better (can't get much worse than last Saturday). At least we have two real full-backs and a centre-back better than Olowu (although a little slow). I'd hoped Maxwell would be in and Rowe playing further forward, but Rowe is on the bench.
While I'd love them to do the unlikely and win, logic (not that one can use that with the Rovers) says a loss. I'll say Bradford 2 Rovers 1. They are not prolific scorers (although we are prolific conceders) so I limited them to two.
Who scores for the Rovers? - I think Carty or Ironside, and I'll go with new boy Carty.

I must be crazy after Saturday's performance but I'll back Rovers for a 2-1 win. Ironside with the first.

I did not watch much of the game as I was watching Forest against Arsenal. One bit I saw was Jones almost frozen on his line, but the goal was disallowed for offside. The injuries are worrying, especiay Close who looked in real pain on the bit I saw. Also Carty looked bad as well, but I did not see Molineux's.
We have to win on Saturday

I composed a reply to your comment Micky, but it seems to have disappeared into the ether.
As for the goal the “wall” was duly set up with an unidentifiable smallish man on the end on the right as we looked at it. Jones positioned himself in line with the midpoint of the wall. He did not choose the unprotected bit to his left which is where the ball entered the net, skimming over the head of the small (unidentified) man on the end of the wall who ducked slightly to avoid it hitting him in the face. Jones was not on his toes and seemed to dive late to his left and even then should have got to the ball, but of course his lack of athleticism meant he didn’t.
Apart from that, Bradford were better footballers, but did not seem able to look as much like scoring as Rovers who were less sophisticated, but more direct. However apart from a Hurst half-chance where he was not quick enough to control the ball and a dangerous Taylor cross close to the goal which no one could get a touch to, there were no other obvious chances.
Your freezing weather in Oregon made the cold here look a bit tame, but hopefully conditions are back to normal again now.
