How well a team plays has no bearing on whether or not a penalty should be awarded. A penalty is a foul committed in the box and yesterday we had two of those, clear as day.

The most worrying thing for me is that VAR looked closely at both incidents and they didn't do their job properly. So either they are totally inept or there is corruption.

Either way it's not good enough and if people want to sweep this under the carpet then it says everything about their integrity and character, or lack thereof.

Both were soft contacts, easy to overthink & default to non penalty in the box & free kick outside it.

Showed how savvy Van Dijk is tbh, little needling fouls that even with tec could make you question 'but was it enough contact?'

They were definite and clear fouls in the box. There's no excuse whatsoever for VAR to look at both incidents closely and not even give one pen from both incidents.

As liverpool fans ...we get the following

1. When we get a decision....its varpool and corruption ..😴😴😴😴😴😴
2.when we get shafted (which has been as much or if not more than more ..its var working like it should ...

The records boring lads.....

Ps ..definite Chelsea penalty for the ankle clip ..absolutely no doubt about it...but we were miles ahead on the night
