Time to see what Gil can do on the right. Johnson has failed to impress and Kulusevski has at times been completely anonymous this season.
With Gil reportedly refusing offers from Sevilla & Brighton keen to prove himself to Ange.
I think that says a lot and fair play to him, Sevilla would have been the easy option.

Bryan Gil last chance saloon

If he wants to stay and prove himself you would hope that will result in putting in lots of effort in training to show Ange he deserves more chances, and then in turn showing it on the pitch when he gets the chances. I guess we'll see in time how it pans out but with Werner and BJ looking inconsistent right now he should be able to give them a run for their money. Without the sort of pace they have though Ange just might not really fancy him anyway. In which case sell.

If he is showing himself to be too lightweight, lacking etc in training, then he won`t be getting many chances.
He does have some nice ability but has never had a run of games to get to grips with the PL, he needs to smash it in training and go from there.

I think he needs to bulk up a bit. Seems to get to the by-line and then can’t kick the ball hard enough to cross it.

He is average at best in this league. Not good enough

Part of our poor showings recently is that we do not have a single in form winger. Deke, Werner, Johnson, Gil have all been poor overall
I’ still think we need a one on one specialist to beat a nan and get a cross in. None of ours are doing it right now.

bit too much of a headless chicken like Lucas, Reguilon etc have zero ability to calm down and keep the ball ticking over. ok to through into a game of chaos
