Best defence...

Still believe our CB pairing is the best in the league. Even though they made a bad error, Liverpool made 3.
Defensively we have been as good as we’ve been in decades, but if you can’t score consistently, sooner or later even the defence will make the odd error to lose the games.

Arguably our best CB partnership since Adams and Bould. Would be interesting to see how they would get on with more conventional full backs rather than out of position White and invert Zinchenko.

One Tomi and Timber are back, we will find out. Rice definitely needs credit for elevating our defence. Shame about Raya.

Think we've conceded the least on xg too.

We really need to stop gifting goals away. Must drive arteta insane.

We do gift alot of goals to team when we should be getting easy clean sheets.

Cant wait to see

as our main defensive combination.

Tifo IRL did a video on this a month or two ago. Basically they came to the conclusion that if we weren't making stupid mistakes we'd pretty much never concede (or something similar).

Still believe City defence is beter pound for pound (especially in knock-out tourneys), but ours is more reliable when everyone is fit, even including those brain farts.
Comparing to the past, I believe that defense under Arsene with Clichy Toure x Sagna was alot better being more press resistant and deadlier on the attacking end. But the main thing is, our midfield not nearly as easy to walk through compared to when we had Hollywood Ramsey and Wilshiredinho in midfield...

What was it Sir Alex said, "attacks win games, defences win titles" or something?

Tbf, 3rd best goal difference and 2nd most points is a better stat. Shame we couldn't find the striker to bridge the 5 goal deficit to the top scorers - if we had we would probably be comfortably top.
