Right, who's up next for an ass whooping.... bloody hell not them again?
For the fourth time in a little over five weeks we take on the West Londoners. You got the impression that they were starting to get our measure after the 1-4 at their place then a 1-1 albeit with us a man down for most of it, then needing ET to beat them in the replay, direction of travel looks to be in their favour, particularly with their talisman Ivan Toney back in the team.
Confidence and form though will be in our favour, battering Chelsea away on Sunday topped off an extraordinary week for Wolves. Hwang Hee Chan returns to Compton Park tomorrow after South Korea's semi final exit at the Asia Cup similarly Boubacar Traore is already back in training after Mali's quarter final exit from the AFCON so Gary O'Neil has a full squad to select from.
Form can always be turned on its head, but over the last 6 games, Wolves have 13 points (bettered only by Man City) and are joint highest scorers with 16. Brentford, meanwhile, are second from bottom of that table with just 1 win and 5 defeats. Makes for very pleasant reading that !
Gotta go for a home win this time: 🐺2 - 1🐝

Yeah, feel like we can get by without on of the other forwards. I think we struggle without Cunha though.

Time for GON to surprise us all again though with a change in gameplan to counteract the loss.

Some people having a proper meltdown on the Cunha thread on MolMix. Makes you realise how tame this place is.

Rangers seem to be playing Fabio and Dessiers in alternate games. Seems to be working as a motivation because each of them are scoring every time they start

Sky have deleted the post they made yesterday which speculated that Cunha may miss the rest of the season. Cunha himself has now posted that he will be back in a few weeks

Dessers has started the last two matches and Fabio has come on to replace him in the latter stages. I'm sure Fabio will get more playing time, but I'm assuming he went to Rangers as cover, because their summer signing Danilo got injured in December and is out with a knee injury. Their other striker is also out injured.

Says a lot when a journeyman with a remarkably mediocre record is keeping out a generational talent.
