Madine and O'Grady

I haven't seen O'Grady play but by all accounts he's a bit of a unit and a sort of 'target man' type of player who's looking for crosses and headers for his goals. Madine is a decent footballer I think and has been scoring different types of goals but is also tall and has netted a fair few headers. Is this a good combination?

Madine was saying how he enjoyed playing with Morrison so personally, I'm thinking he and Ryan Lowe may be a better bet. Someone who wants the ball to feet and can hold on to it and make space for or play in Madine.

I think Megson will go with O'Grady though, which, for me, means another question mark against his decision-making. Seems a bit silly moaning when we're second I know but Stevenage wasn't that long ago and the jury is still out on many of his signings.

Of the players that are doing well for us, Madine and Buxton were brought in by previous managers and, while Semedo was a good move by GM, I think Marshall was more of a panic 'buy' that's worked out. The rest have been pretty mediocre: Batth, Jones and Bennett still look shaky and the jury is out on Lines and O'Grady, although I'm hopeful they'll do well. As for loaning Uchechi and Kasnik.. not much you can say about that.

Looking forward to Sunday anyway. I'm a bit unsure of Megson's methods but if he beats the Blades and takes us up who cares!

Come on everyone. It's pretty clear that sulky is right about everything (even though he's never seen us play) and anyone who disagrees has a monkey brain

Fair enough - that was a bit silly. I suppose I just mean I think he has his favourites while he needs no excuse to drop others.
