I wonder how many points we will be robbed of this week?
Newcastle:
The Good: CHO finding his feet..and confidence…and pace.
The Bad: Our defending has to improve.
The Ugly: VAR…not even properly reviewed.
Special Mention: Congratulations to the Ivory Coast.
The Last Time we played (West Ham (A) - a 3-2 win - the JWP show)
Vlachula
Aina Niakhate Murillo Toffolo
Sangare Mangala Dominguez
MGW Awoniyi Elanga
Proposed Lineup:
Sels
Williams Niakhate Murillo Tavares
Dominguez Yates
MGW
Elanga Awoniyi CHO
Subs: Turner, Felipe, Omobamidele, Toffolo, Danilo, Kouyate, Reyna, Origi, Ribeiro
Injuries: Montiel, Wood.
AFCON Hangovers: Aina, Boly and Sangare.
Laughing @ Derby: The 3 amigo (Hennessy, Vlachula and Felipe).
Form:
Forest (H) - W1 D0 L5 GF7 GA12 - 16th (20th in the Home Form table)
West Ham (A) - W3 D1 L2 GF8 GA12 - 8th (6th in the Away Form table)
Prediction:
West Ham are winless in 2024… which usually means we will lose. However, my best mate over here (West Ham fan) thinks they will lose?!
Their only injury doubt is Paqueta.
A 3-2 Forest win. Finally.
Final Words:
COYRs!!!!

Can someone tell me what you need to do to be awarded a penalty for the home team at the CG.
The decisions are getting worse each week.
Yet another shocker.

VAR is woeful. How can they defend on giving that one. Absolutely clear on the replays

VAR apologises last week for getting it wrong and then makes an even worse mistake this week.

We should be out of sight, this game has sucker punch written all over it.

2-0 CHO, finally scores our first goal in added time at the end of the second half.
Game over, at long last.

Good to see we kept the attacking performance from last week and improved in defense.

Well worth than win, had we been more clinical it could have been so much more comfortable.
I have absolutely what the point of VAR or the people who operate is. Two home games running we’ve been denied clear penalties. Again, can’t wait to hear what the pundits make of it. Imagine if that hadn’t been given to the home team at Old Trafford or Anfield. ??

Areola stopped it from being a rout.
Having said that most of our shots seemed to be straight at the centre of the goal. A foot or two to either side of him and we could have ended with a five nil win.
So many very good performances it’s very difficult to pick a MOTM.
Most pleasing for me was the performance of the Felipe/Murillo pairing. Probably helped by a common language.
