Højlund

Scored in 6 straight matches now for us.

And I believe he's the youngest player ever to do that in PL history.

Not to mention he's now joined Eric Cantona , Cristiano Ronaldo and Rudd van Nistelrooy as the only Man United players to score in as many consecutive games for the club.

There's obviously a lot more to come from him but it's great to see him finally finding his goal scoring touch after a difficult start to his career at United.

There's a few on this board that are probably sat in diapers as we type.

I hate to say it (and it won’t happen) but sell Rashy for £80m to PSG or keep him but bring…ahem…Mason…ahem….Greenwood back

Garnacho…….Hojlund……..Greenwood

Man, this whole ‘bad start to his UTD career’ has been exaggerated and overblown.
What were we expecting of a 20 year old leading the frontline?
For me, I saw a foreign lad, who I didn’t expect to be starting every game. Were so badly run, we thrusted this lad into the spot light, amongst a team full of bullshiiit artists, who themselves were/are lacking confidence/form. and some of them continue to do so.. (yeh Bruno/Rashford, looking at you)

Our players weren’t looking for him, Rasmus has been feeding off scraps for the most part of the season.
But he did have a decent Champions League debut.. so, there was no issue with ‘confidence’ then..

I think he was always confident, and on form, and became frustrated as the games in the Prem passed.
Also, it takes time to build an understanding, and now it seems that they all getting on the same page and he’s getting on the end of things.

I think I agree with this.

It's not like he was missing golden chances left, right and centre.

Obviously he'd have wanted to get off the mark quicker in the PL, but since he did so he hasn't looked back

Frustrating as hell. That would be some attacking lineup - especially a few years from now after they have matured a bit.

God yeah; 2025/26 could have been insane. Instead we have to get rid of Antony and Sancho at a huge loss and find a replacement or two. Really do hope the new team upstairs are successful at improving our recruitment because that’s what we’re effectively needing yet again, a lot of players:

Two new forwards at least to replace Greenwood, Sancho & Martial

Two CMs to fully partner Mainoo for the future

One new first choice CB to partner Martinez and replacing Slab

New goalkeeper (he’d really have to turn things around to not be replaced)

And one or two full backs

That’s another billion quid under the old regime with a vile mix of mercenaries, aged players that cannot fulfill their contract at a top level or players that simply are not good enough to level-up a team back to the top.

How much did Salah, KDB and Haaland cost? Less than £150m for all three?

One can only dream of United doing deals that good.

They were discussing this on Talksport yesterday and why people like Ashworth are worth £10-£20m to get onboard. If they are going to be overseeing the spend of £1bn over the next 7 years or so, its worth spending what it takes to get them.
