On This Day In 2008

Spurs beat Chelsea in the League Cup final, Dimitar Berbatov and Johnathan Woodgate with the goals.

It is now 16 years since Spurs last lifted a major trophy.

The wait is a disgrace. I remember when it was about half that length of time and fans would complain it's been too long. All mainly on Levy and ENIC's heads.

ENIC have presided over the most unsuccessful period in this clubs history since the war, even Sugar had a better strike rate with 1 League Cup in his 10 year stint.

These days, Tottenham Hotspur is a business first and a football club second, with no expense spared on upgrading infrastructure and revenue streams. Sadly, there is however, plenty of expense spared on the core reason why Tottenham Hotspur Ltd exists, the football team.
