the early reviews have all been highly praising of the game. Apparently the graphics have taken a little bit of a hit due to the size of the game but Im more than happy with that, would rather have content over looks anyday.

Looking at the reviews it could well be, I'd imagine that it might be a bit of a case of you won't be able to rank this as a stand alone.

The three games together could well be classed as a single entity which will go down as one of the best games ever.

I was sceptical of the remake when it was announced they were changing the battle system, I wanted the turn basd combat.

However he sorta hybrird version they have does work and its very well thought out.

They did flesh the hell out of remake however with quite a bit of filler, rebirth looks like its gonna have a stupid amount of content.

well apparently if your a completitonist its well in excess of 100 hours, and main story is about 70 hours...thats a pretty big standalone game. But in terms of narrative you could be correct.

yeah I think it will be more than that tbh, 100+ if you google the way to do what your doing.... I spent about 50+ hours into remake and this looks to have way more than double the content. |Seen reviewers say they got the main story (and focused solely on the main story done in about 40-45 hrs.)
