Seriously wtf! Now Bruno, Maguire & Varane all doubts for tomorrow. Joining Shaw, Matinez, Hoijland and Mount (who I'm sure must be dead!). Are our medical team rubbish or is our training too harsh? Something needs seriously looking at here as this season it has been a joke!

I’m not sure if you’re aware, but you’re contradicting yourself

I’m not sure if he’s aware what the word normal means.

What is the normal amount of injuries for this time of the season?
If someone said to me that injuries are down 15% compared with the last 4 years while the work load has increased and is increasing I'd say wow that's unexpected, not normal.
People are crying saying "seriously, wtf!' and then querying if it's our medical teams or training sessions when it's quite obvious what the reason is. I fully expect this time next year most PL clubs will have a similar or even bigger injury list. This will be the norm while we keep adding more games to the fixture list

The injuries have gone up from even since those first three months.
You can try and dress it up how you like, there has been a significant increase in injuries across the league, it’s not even up for debate, and therefore is not ‘normal’.
The reasons for that, which is seemingly what you’re writing about, is an entirely different conversation.

I don't think humans are machines, I think muscles & bodies gradually wear and tear over time (see Bale), and a summer off doesn't necessarily reset your body and muscles back to perfect health.
I think gradual wear and tear accumulates over time and it's why quite a lot of players get recurring injuries.
I think since Covid and the fixture back log there, going into a few games being postponed due to the queen passing, and then a few months later the WC mid season, and the increase in stoppage time in games, more fixtures with the nations league, a Europa conference and soon even more CL matches from next year... We should 'expect' to see bigger injury lists around this time of the season. This is the new normal. Expect the same next year and the year after that.
If the rule makes don't want to decrease games, then a quick fix would be to increase squad sizes

Yes, and that’s all fine but the amount of injuries across the league this season is not normal.
It’s not even up for debate, sorry.

Oh god don’t. He wrote a long post about how hard it was being right all the time the other day whilst somehow rarely, if ever, being right

I'm certain United would have fewer injuries than they have if they finished games off sooner and made subs early. Even when we win we seem to be pushed right until the final whistle.

Or if they stop doing simultaneous high press and low block leaving 50meters gaps between the backline and frontline/mf requiring half ur team to sprint back like madmen when your press is bypassed

Not the amount we have had. This is not difficult to understand.
