Season tickets to go up 6%

Vintage Levy.

Oh I see. Yes that makes sense and I figure you might well be right.

Yeah, I might do one more season as a STH and then call it a day. I can afford the price hike but it is besides the point, the club has so many income streams that are very lucrative it does not need to raise ticket prices.

6% on match day tickets - I will just stop buying stuff in concourses to offset the cost and I suspect others will follow suit.

Gonna be a whole load more tourists in there.

I find this a bit of an odd response from fans.

Spurs ST prices have been frozen for years. The last increase was 1.5% for the 20/21 season.

Against a backdrop of super high inflation, much higher energy costs, rising wages including the basic & living wage, a 6 % increase is quite modest compared to where other day to day prices have gone in the last few years.

Spurs are not a charity they are a business, a business that has not put its prices up in 3 years. There aint many of those around!

Just because ticket prices have gone up a modest amount, and well below inflation, I am not sure that makes Levy or any business man a Khant for doing so.

And yet the same people throwing this accusation around also critical of Spurs spending over the years.

The OAP concession would be very harsh and khantish thing to do so. Loads of Spurs fans are in this age group. It is just a rumour but i would be very surprised if that was accurate.

Levy is raking in revenue from everywhere these days, he absolutely doesn't need to raise ticket prices, he could freeze them again and still make record revenues.

true but in the same breath fans want us to be able to compete.

We could charge les of beers, ticket, merch, programmes and still make great revenues.

I am used to seeing everything go up. My car insurance went up 50% this year despite no claims, house insurance something similar. Council tax up 10% this year on top of similar last year.

My utility bills nearly tripled at their peak although now back down to about just over double what it was 2 years ago.

I think its unfair to expect Spurs or any football club not to increase prices for 4 years when everything that makes matches possible has gone up significantly.

increasing isnt an issue but it is when theyre already far too high and its so difficult to get a ticket as a member
