Havertz

Maybe not a flop after all. Hitting double figures from midfield this season.

Just as a comparison. Jesus, who plays even more defensively as a false 9 in my opinion, has the same amount of goals, more assists and in a lot less games and minutes.

Thats the thing. We use Havertz as a big body in hold up play when we want to go long and then drop him to midfield because he is actually very astute executing the press. Thats not game to game but with different movements in the same game.

Jesus is a false 9, outright no. 9 or goes to either wing!

he started up front v brentford and scored, and up front v sheff utd and scored. Do I need to go and check all the other games or will you admit this is not true?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

He scored from midfield against Bretford because Jesus had come on and was playing no.9. Thats why he found space because Jesus occupied the GK and one CB and the other CB decided to mark the near post rather than man mark him.

Our system is very fluid and at times he is playing no.9, other no.8 and pressing in midfield and others he is wide.

This is why Arteta bought him. None of our players are one position players.

Declan Rice is now playing Dm, like Rodri in some games and others he is further forward like De Bruyne.

Long winded way of saying he didnt score 8 from midfield as originally stated.
And he scored against brentford earlier in the season as a sub coming on as a number 9.

Better than expected. Considering he was bought as a no.8.

If that was the case Lampard was the best striker ever seen.

That makes no sense

It's about the starting position for players. Lampard played in advanced midfield, but most of his goals were late runs into the box striker tap ins. Drogba used to occupy Cbs to create space for him. Jesus did exactly that for Havertz after the sub.

Imagine if we do win the title. I doubt Bats, Castor and Pete will enjoy it having backed other clubs to win the title. They need constant emotional validation.
