5th gone?

With spurs now 6 points (7 with GD) clear of us in 5th, our hopes of qualifying for the Champs League are probably gone.

Gonna be a flat couple of months if we go out the FA Cup next week.

So in effect we should have scored probably 110 league goals last season. We attempted the most shots in the league and most teams who attempt that many shots usually score around 100 goals.

Yes it’s gone, but the dog$hit performances aren’t, seem to be getting worse each week
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I was gobsmaked yesterday watching the game how easily and carelessly United gave the ball away to Everton players... right in front of own box. It must have been a record yesterday. From all players. Its like a virus throughout the team. Its no surprise that opposition teams clock up record goal attempts us. Every week. And its geting worse not better.

What we are good at is taking penalties it seems.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah Casemiro and Varane did it constantly, I’dm starting to worry that we go into the new season with Erik, granted injuries are killing us but the players out there yesterday should be capable of far better than that, at home, to Everton
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Easy to blame injuries. We were cack when Shaw and Martinez were fit.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not when Rasmus was there as well, we started to look like a team.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes we did look a lot better with those 3 in the team. We looked stronger down the left with a crossing threat. Had a focal point to the attacks and also a CB who could bring the ball into midfield.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Slightly better not a lot better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Process, this is now where we are Manchester United. Nothing to really write about when these three were about.

Elvis- get the memo you have been filtered. This thing you do when you act like you genuinely want to debate with me but there every-time to just pull me up on things is laughable and I’ve seen right through it you weasel.

Err, what? Sometimes I agree with you, sometimes I don't. Just like any other poster.

In this instance I was asking you to clarify your point, as I think that there was clear signs that Rashford and Hojlund were starting to form an understanding. If you can't handle people having different views to you, then the internet isn't really the right place to be spending your time.

Haf, it isn't about having the most shots. Its about creating quality chances. Now I have no doubts that we have been wasteful in front of goal, to some extent. But on the whole we don't create enough quality chances, this we have a poor conversion rate.

I am not sure his programming allows him to process that, could you present it in binary please?

We missed 71 big chances in the league last season and Bruno Fernandes was ranked 1st creating 32 big chances in the league with I believe the highest expected assist stat recorded. Just for comparison Ødegaard created 14 big chances and Martinelli for Arsenal was next best for 11 big chances created so Fernandes by himself created 32.

We had near the same open play XG as Man City in the league.

Bruno Fernandes has created more chances (415) and more big chances (85) than any other player in the Premier League since he made his debut in February 2020.
And he's been directly involved in 87 goals. 👏
...
I feel sorry for him as he deserves better than the worst strikeforce in the league.

It actually annoys me how we didn’t get Kane and ruined our season as a result.

Our strikers usually score a goal every 18 shots or so while Kane scored usually a goal every 3-4 shots.😂
