Never would write Real off but having watched them a fair bit this season they do not look as good as I've seen them say last 4-6 years and do look more vulnerable than usual? of course they could cause most teams problems but imo anyway this season they aren't as devastating as they have been?

It is an interesting one. Have they actually been the best team in Europe when they have won any of their titles this millenium? Barca were generally always better than them during 2010-2019. The there were other teams like Bayern, City, Liverpool, Juventus, Chelsea, who were better than them over that period and beyond that. But Real just came out on top in the CL.

Can't remember enough about 2002 if they were actually that good then.

Add Ancellotti to the equation though and it’s difficult to see past them or City. Bellingham is now world class, Vinicius has been for a while, Camavinga and Tchoaumeni are excellent - it’s just such a strong line up.

If they get Mbappe in the summer then that is the CL sewn up most years in the next 5/6 - maybe the odd City or Bayern win

They also do the semi final draw so the winners can see the path to the final

City - No thanks.

Bayern - inconsistent but will be tough to beat. No thanks

Barca - not as good as they once were but will be entertaining matches. We owe them some revenge as well. Wouldn’t mind them

Real - Not as good as last season with Benzema. Not a bad tie for us

PSG - would fancy our chances if we keep Mbappe quiet. Not bad option

Atletico/inter - either one of them would be a good draw for us

Dortmund / PSV - probably the best draw for us.

Liverpool - Won it 6 times to our 0

1994, they beat Parma 1-0 in the cup winners cup final - their only true Euro trophy although some of them try to claim the inter city fairs cup

I'd like to avoid City and Athletico/Inter on a footballing basis so we will probably draw one of these two. Wouldn't mind facing any of the rest, sure we will be underdogs in some of those games but I don't mind that. Less expectation and less pressure.
