"Might have just as well come out and said they didn't enjoy the association being dragged into the 21st century because it was quite a lot of work and we'd rather have just kept things the way they were."

Pretty much exactly what he told me yesterday morning on the phone when I told him to go and take another look at that pitch

Good to see the Charlotte FC manager clarify who was pressuring Abada into leaving.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Indeed. I'd noticed that earlier on today's Beeb footie gossip:

"Charlotte general manager Zoran Krneta says it was pressure from the Israeli media, international team-mates and their head coach - rather than the visible support from Celtic fans for the Palestinian cause - that drove winger Liel Abada to leave the Scottish champions for the Major League Soccer club. (Walla via Daily Record)"
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly as I suggested

Got some rest, handed the pressure over to Celtic whilst still being in control.

Good weekend.

Your manager doesn’t seem to think so

Keeping a momentum going is more beneficial and players are geared up in training for a match day. If it’s cancelled at such short notice it’s a waste of a day of rest and can disrupt the overall training regime.

I am happier your game was cancelled and it’s another mid week fixture you’ve got to play probably around or during the split.

Can’t be. One or two bears on here suggested quite the opposite.

Impeccable logic.

The abada thing doesnt shock me, said as much at the time.

That pressure, no matter what anyone might think, must be excruciating.

<One or two bears on here>

Don't dismiss that lightly.

That's between 3 and 5.7 normal sized people.

That has to carry some weight just like the Broomloan.
