Anyone think it would be better if we had two games a week? Get more of a rhythm going and less time to dwell on results? Really don’t think this one game a week has benefited us at all!
Plus I want to see how Ange will negotiate Europe!
Europa League or CL (not that other thing!)
Thoughts?
Europe.

I think this has been a good reality check for some spoilt fans complaining about conference league or even europa league.
I hope they now realise even third tier competitons in Europe are better to compete in than have nothing at all. We support a football club so by default they should play as much football as possible.

Yeah it’s been miserable the gaps between games this year, another faaacking international break now.
Next season I want us playing 60 times, as a fan that’s what I care about most, watching the team play

We lose a game and some fans spit their dummies out.
New manager in his first season and he’s done well so far in my opinion.
Writing Dragon off after his first full start is very harsh
Chris Waddle had a run of poor games after he started but guess what ? He settled in and became a brilliant player for us.
We’ve got some very tough games before the end of the season.
Some might need to get some tenamen panties in

Exactly, who honestly cares about burn out. That's what they are all paid millions of pounds with the best facilities to deal with

I'm not so sure. Any rhythm gained from playing twice a week would be negated by the need to rotate. If you rotate you lose rhythm anyway. I don't believe we'd be more successful with a more congested fixture list. Fatigue and injury would cost us even more than it has now. We had no injuries and no real rotation in those first 12 games and we went unbeaten. That says everything. I find it odd that a manager wants more games because most of the time managers want training minutes in order to coach well, rather than just recovery, recovery, recovery.

Just saying that I don’t think it’s particularly befitted us!

Or we haven’t really taken advantage of it, like we should have.

I think not having many games has been useful for Ange in his first season. The first year is when you want to push your ideas onto the squad. He's had time to do that. They already know his methods so I guess there's less of a need to over-coach now. That's all the more pronounced when you consider that he doesn't drill or tweak things midweek depending on the opponent, as some coaches do.
There's no excuse to be leggy right now so the fact that we didn't press sufficiently on Saturday is what sticks in the throat. If we have anything over other teams right now, it should be energy.
Maybe he's right though. Maybe there is something in game after game that gives you momentum. If that is the case then Ange's 'top four doesn't matter to me' line doesn't wash because if it's games he wants, then the only way of getting that is to qualify for Europe.
