McT knows where the goal is, we already knew but he confirmed it.
Rashy still cares.
Dalot and AWB aren't crap, in fact they're quite good.
Mainoo is a future great.
Bruno can be a mardrse, but nobody works harder.
ETH can be brave.
It also showed that intensity, attack, speed up front is our best way of playing, and what the fans want to see.
Nowhere near perfect as a team though, we need to prevent the middle being so open, and a settled defense. More depth everywhere.
But still, it could be a portent.

VC. I know how up and down the season has been. But I think with the injured back we've a decent first team, and also that win may have given us enough confidence so we don't go to pieces when we go a goal down.

Not really an "omen" per se.
To be frank such concepts are irrational anyway.
Plus, I couldn't really see past the inevitability of a club with a better potential starting xi winning a home cup tie against a club with a weaker starting xi.
It wouldn't, and doesn't, make sense. Better line-ups win matches. Sometimes it's as simple as that.
I was slightly amused by how paid analysts were trying to pretend otherwise.
Granted the inclusion of dalot and lindelof was a concession to gift the opposition a proverbial 'two goal start', but even that was never seriously going to be enough.
United (and the flukiness of very influencing deflected attempts - the original strikes were covered by the keeper) did conspire to make the game look closer than was necessary though...
But then that's what this club does ...
