FFP points in our favour?

Just saw that Leicester have been charged by the Premier League with breaking spending rules. If found guilty, it's likely they'll have points docked. But how many points would be a fair deduction? And if that happens, will it have more of a galvanising effect on the Foxes than a destructive one? So many unknowns – all of which surely makes this most intriguing Championship run-in for years...

My understanding is they’d be docked points if promoted back to the PL, so this season will have no punishment.

It causes a bit of uncertainty with them though, players will be thinking about their future, they could have to be sold next season. Doesn’t hurt us

I can't get my head around this. Haven't Leicester routinely sold all their best players year on year? I wonder how much in total they've gone over because that will give a greater measure of what the punishment will be. I think Everton were around £15m over so if it's more than that, it's got to be at least 6+ points.

I wait with baited breath for the City and Chelsea punishments. (I have my doubts).

Ah yes, of course - Prem League have no powers to dock points off a Champ team. Must have a demoralising effect knowing you have that cloud hanging over you tho'!

Forest and Everton received there points deduction this season, so Leicester should too.

Leicester are effectively getting promoted with illegal players and illegal team as they shouldn't have been allowed to sign them. Faes and Vestergaard being recent signings are possibly the players that caused them to breach it

The consequences so far have seen 6 pts deducted, with 2 waved if teams cooperate fully. So Leicester should be docked 4 - 6 pts THIS season, not next.

If we get promoted, I shall be delighted if Leicester and several others start on minus points next season.

Shaun, like people have said, the PL can't touch Leicester now!..

Forest and Everton are PL teams!..

The only way they can get Leicester is if they're in the PL, so if they go up they're fair game and will be hunted!..

My only problem is that its been said Leeds have been up to no good as well, and I hate thinking of the dealings Orta did when he was in place!..

There was some strange ones!..

The EFL wanted to get them but Leicester successfully argued against it. EFL need to sort these rules out because there are a few clubs - Leicester was one of them when they went up in 2014 - that have broken the rules but got out of the league so escaped punishment. Makes it worth the risk.

Surely Leeds haven’t broken these rules - the wage reduction and loan clauses killed us on the pitch but must have reduced our outgoings massively, with a few sales in the summer as well

This.

Been reading Leicester board. One or two seem
pretty hacked about their situation. As much as it
pains me, reckon LIW's bet is looking pretty damn
good right now.

Going up.

Batts fairly certain I’ve got £50 at 8-1 but don’t know where just hoping it appears on one of my accounts, need 6 wins for the 100pt bet to come in,

Morning all🌞.

My take on this subject … I think Farke and everyone else associated with our club (including fans) should, as best as possible, ignore this and solely concentrate on our own promotion campaign. I’m sure Farke et al will do just that👍.
