Leeds murals

Decided to have a drive round looking at the murals yesterday. Managed to get through 21 of the 24 with just three close to the ground still to see. I’ll make sure I see them on Monday before kick off.

A couple are struggling and need some paint but generally they are very good and better to see them in real than on the internet. A fair old drive to get round them stretching from menston to cross green.

Took around 6 hours setting off from East Leeds including dinner and a pint in The Hyde Park pub which is opposite the magnificent Bielsa mural. Ran out of daylight due to slow pub service and a bit of rush hour traffic.

It's a shame there's none to celebrate the history prior to Revie's time, we have a lot to be proud of in our history, first black player to play in an FA Cup final, John Charles and many, many internationals pre-Revie era. It's like the club was founded in the 1960's not 1919.
I know a lot of it will not seem relevant to today's kids but we should celebrate D ick Ray, Frank Buckley and Raich Carter in the same way we celebrate Don Revie, Howard Wilkinson, Marcello Bielsa and Daniel Farke.

I must be a bit thick. How do I enlarge the murals? They are just the size of a postage stamp and I can’t get them to expand.

If you click on the 3 exclamation marks lying sidewards at the top right hand side of screen you can view each one separately. Click on “view mural page” for each one to see in larger size
