A few weeks ago I said Leicester might implode and today was another defeat.
Southampton held, Ipswich hold onto winkle not a bad set of results for us, but I didn't feel that confident, can't explain why.
Only one team in it for most of first half, just constant Watford possession and apart from a trademark Summervillie shot we looked lost up front.
Watford turned possession into a goal and I couldnt see how we were going to turn this around.
Thought Cooper and Rodon looked sound, Meslier gave me teh jitters whenever he had the ball and that kick straight down the middle, just awful from him.
Rutter was shadow of himself, Summerville was buzzing and really stretching scores a trademark curler, surely now get to half time and regroup.
Unfortunately, Watford keep coming and Watford score a good goal that again leaves you wondering how do we get out of this.
Second half was one way traffic for us but Watford stood back soaked it all up but Rutter and Summerville starting to get through and some great through balls that we couldn't quite capitalise on, we were doing everything we could and link up play was good and with Gray switching to midfield we really took stranglehold on the game.
Farke's tactics of throwing every possible forward on at the end paid dividend with Joseph bundling in an equaliser with first touch and you're wondering if we have enough time.
And Watford slow it down with Porteus creating stoppage after stoppage.
I'm happy with a point after a poor performance, we still need a result or 2 to go our way, to be sure of top 2 and Monday could see all change again.
For watford to have played so well to make us look poor and we still drew and had possibly better chances show that we're a good team, just needs to keep believing and Farke knows what to do.
And final thought, one of worst decisions I've ever seen, to call that cross out when it was a foot or so still in play, how are these officials officials?
Thoughts from tonight

This attack on Piroe just goes to show how little people know, absolutely ridiculous, not played much recently, played out of position and still third highest scorer

Am not against him, think he’s decent.

The other issue of course with Piroe is that he is nowhere near good enough to play at the level up.
We bought him, presumably, to get us out of this league.
If we go up, then what?
Contracted until 2027, what do we do with a striker who Farke has already, pretty much called time on.

Anyhoo... I've mentioned a couple of times how in Bielsa's first season the wheels fell off, I know it's not something any of us will ever forget and it still stings 5 years later but even so it's worth remembering that we went 2nd and 3 points clear of the Blades after we beat Shef Wed with just 4 games remaining and I even remember chicken counting posts about which EPL grounds the following season fans were most looking forward to visiting.
We were hot favourites to get the job done but then we somehow lost at home to Wigan, another Bamford missed penalty and them a man down... incredible and then we lost away at Brentford 2 nil being denied a stonewall penalty before they opened the scoring just before the break and in no time at all Shef Utd jumped ahead of us and clinched automatic promotion after we could only draw at home to Villa and that legendary sporting Bielsa moment ordering his players to let Villa equalise which Pontus probably helped seal his exit by trying to ignore his gaffer's instructions.
The point being once bitten and all that there is no way I'm counting any chickens because as we all know from bitter experience how this game can kick you in the guts and with 7 games to go there is still a massive load of work for Farke to get his troops assured of at least 2nd spot so I'm just taking it one game at a time and no taking any opponent for granted and hopefully as long as we don't have another Wigan type nightmare and the players stick to their usual form, especially being tight defensively, I'm hoping by the time we face Boro away or immediately after, it will be mathematically impossible for us not to be automatically promoted but if we have to wait until our final game of the season then so be it.
