Happy Easter everyone. It's gone quick hasn't it? Community day at the toughsheet and a crowd of over 25000. Hope a good crowd that is keeping the faith and one that gets behind a tired looking squad that appears like last season to have run their race before the season has ended. Extra rounds of the cup, EFL Trophy, abandoned games and injuries has disrupted the automatic promotion run that looked a likely outcome back in January. After the boredraw at Stevenage Bolton are clear in 3rd and with 4 out of 6 games at home favourites to finish no lower. Unfortunately now 6 points and gd behind 2nd placed derby but keep the faith as a win today and derby have to go to champions elect Portsmouth on Tuesday, Bolton have a game in hand. It's the hope... Form. Another poor month for Bolton. 2 wins, 3 draws and a defeat in march. Reading not to be underestimated. They have taken 25 points to bolton's 27 in 2024 and have won their last 2. Not a good fixture as Bolton haven't beat reading in the last 5 at home. Team news. Rounding it up. Out injured no chance Mendes Gomes, Johnston, Nlundulu, Adeboyejo, Taylor, the cavalry is coming and Charles and Baxter could be available on Saturday, a fitness check for Jones and Williams is fit. Limited options for evatt today but one or two changes expected. Likely starting 11. Coleman. Jones Santos Toal. Dacres-cogley Maghoma Sheehan Thomason Williams. Böðvarsson Taylor. Kick off is 3pm.

Who needs Dion what's his name back. He can take his time, sort out his harem before he comes back.

The Ben isn't open 24hrs these days is it.
They must have the shortest working day over there. They file their news, on a google docs timer system and home for 2pm.

The scoreline gives us hope but we will need to be on top of our game. Usually, if we score four or five against the opposition, we seem to mess it up in the next game. Let's hope that isn't the case this time and we can go on and win all our remaining games.

We are slowly edging towards Bristol on Saturday.
I think we spent too long, watching the last match highlights and smiling this week.

Been one of those weeks. Nothing to see here until evatt tells us who's injured and who's back for Saturday while keeping one a secret.

Here it is https://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/24232095.bolton-wanderers-boss-evatt-shares-positive-baxter-update/
Fit, nearly fit, fully fit, see how he does overnight , might be back soon, raring to go, fully raring to go. My head is mashed with all that info.

Too soon.
Remember, I did warn those wrist injuries are a nasty thing.
They often return quickly, rinse and repeat the treatment. Sometimes it can take a year or two before you can be fully confident.

One thing we can't do is wait two years. Anyway, I read the article early but as I remember, he is saying Baxter is fit unless I'm having another one of those senior citizens moments.
If he is fit, will he be drafted straight back into the starting 11, or will he be on the bench?
As for Dion, Pasty, you have your wish, it doesn't look as if he is ready to return. However, could this be Evatt telling porkies?
All will be revealed tomorrow.
I'm at yet another birthday Party tonight, it's my daughter's 50th birthday. Party. My son-in-law is pushing the boat out with a big party. He's booked a good restaurant.

Looking like if we don't go up next seasons promotion favourites will be Rotherham because as it stands they're going down from the Championship and we all know they're League 1 promotion specialists.
