“The Merseyside club could yet face a further points deduction in relation to interest costs associated with the building of the club's new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock, though that issue is unlikely to be resolved before the end of the season."
How? In the Premier League’s own PSR rules, infrastructure costs are deductible. So why do they keep going after Everton for costs related to their stadium? Are they just making it up as they go along for long enough to change the rules so big clubs like City and Chelsea can get away with breaking the rules?
This, from the Premier League:
“As the decision records, there remains a dispute between the Premier League and the club as to the status of certain costs that the club says are associated with its stadium construction. The League considers that these costs fall to be considered as a loss for the purposes of the PSRs."

No one has ever been fined before or since for being late back on the pitch as far as I can gather.
The Sporting manager actually defended the racial abuse by claiming it was like City fans chanting 'Kun Kun Kun' when Aguero got the ball.

I dont need to decide. and I frankly dont care whether you broke the rules because you made a mess of transfers and had to spend more to try and dig your way out, or that you have just overspent trying to reach for the stars.
You know the rules, and a breach is a breach. Take ownership and the punishment like a man, not a whinger, whining about the rules which you signed up to.

What a silly argument. The FFP thing as I said is meaningless and stupid and hardly affects us at all, who cares about it except for a few bitter spurs fans on here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you went down last season, you would have been in serious serious trouble. You are already scrabbling around looking for investment
FFP isn't meaningless. It's like saying I'm a great driver so speed limits are meaningless. The rules are there for the good of everyone, the good of the game. Just because you think you are not at financial risk doesn't make the rules which apply to all meaningless.
As for being bitter, you're having a laugh! You're the one bringing up Spurs financial dealings in the 80s as some sort of stick to beat us with. Laughable. We have had the same owners for 23 years and revenues more than 3 times Evertons. What's there to be bitter about. I just want the rule breakers punished, whoever that may be

Don't mistake your lack of knowledge for lack of evidence.
Spurs got fined for this under Mourinho

Do you honestly believe FFP was introduced for the good of football?

I tell you what I believe, I'm going to need a big lunch to get through this afternoon. Ideally not too many carbs. Suggestions?

Hardly a definitive claim is it? I wasn't aware Spurs had been fined, now I am.

No it's not. FFP is like a getting a couple months of community service after you've drunkely crashed your car, and been sentenced to a year in prison.
You don't seem to get that we're already a mess, it's really not hard to comprehend that FFP didn't do that to us or doesn't add much to it.
And you've won nothing of note since the 60s, there's no revenue trophy

How's that a gem?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Being 90 seconds late on the pitch = £24,740 fine
Racial abuse aimed at 2 players for most of the game = £16,700 fine.

Well, the Sporting player were obviously still unsettled by City's very unSporting tardiness in the first leg.
