'Pilar Alegría, Spain's sports minister, has issued a message of "calm" ahead of the games in Madrid and said "more than 2,000 police and civil guard officers" will be deployed'

So that is more reassuring.

Yeah that’s reassuring and slightly concerning at the same time tbh, absolutely right to enhance security but shows they think it might be a credible threat.

How are ISIS still making threats anyway? Didn't they lose all their territory in Syria like 6-7 years ago?

I'll always remember the night they killed Alan Henning.. I was out on Deansgate and my sister called me, because they'd had him captive for ages but not done it. Absolute b*stards they are.

Not good to see at all. I remember the attack in Paris, for the France game, in 2015 and that was horrifying.

Very worrying, as the Russia concert attack followed a similar pattern of threats before it happened.

UEFA need to be all over it and if needs be call all of them off or play BCD.

I saw City play in Paris a few months after the attacks. They had the security going in on absolute lockdown, and I'm sure they will be able to do similar tonight. If in doubt call it off as you say. Hopefully no issues.

Yeah if there's any security issue at all, they have to call it off.

Rearrange it for next week behind closed doors.

Nobody should potentially die from going to a game of footie.
