Selling the family silver

Well, with the news of the hotel sale, it seems this is what it has come to for the club, as they try to comply with Premier League rules on profit and loss.

Given their situation, selling the hotel probably is the right business move, but one can understand now why persistent rumours about the club selling James and Gallagher won't go away.

And I wonder how many assets the club have left that can be sold for a book value profit? There is now a real risk of the baby/babies being thrown out with the bathwater as the club strives to avoid sanctions.

Gallagher will go - it will be more profitable and more acceptable to the fans than losing Cole Oalmer at this point.

But haven't they just sold it to one of their subsidiaries? I don't understand how the Premier League have allowed this. This is true financial doping. Just hope we don't waste even moremoney on trash in the summer.

When fully fit, James is among the top 5 Right Backs in Europe, in my opinion Sheriff - I'd at least wait to see if his operation has cleared his hamstring problems up, before cashing in on him!
