There are some coaches Arteta cannot figure out. Emery is one of them-6 points lost to him alone this season

Thought we were unlucky not to be a couple of goals up in the first half despite the lackluster performance. Seemed like one of those days rather than a tactical masterclass from Emery, at least this time around.

We did fine in the first half, Villa didn't play how I expected them too but despite having an extra 2 days rest, we looked tired in the second half and they grew into the game as we became more desperate. A goal was always going to come and as the game went on, they looked the more likely.

I know the whole bottler tag will now come and I think much of that will depend on how we react to this loss. Winning another 7 in a row having already won 10 of 11 was always going to be unlikely and we were going to slip up somewhere. Maybe it was the pressure of being top having been chasing for the entirety of 2024 up this weekend.

We should of won the away game we had so many chances and yesterday we certainly had the chances in the first half. We also beat them twice last season granted the first one I don't think he was there for that, yesterday to me is still a culmination of working certain players too hard and the poor second half yesterday is a testament to that.
