Bolton Wanderers v Shrewsbury Town

3 to go and Shrewsbury at home in a similar fixture to last season when with 4 to go were looking to secure a play off place and secured a 1-0 win with a 2nd half goal by josh Sheehan. This time the play offs are secured but Bolton need the win just as badly to push derby all the way and go within 1 point of them and anything can happen with 2 to go. Team news. Issues with fitness in the squad, my guess Santos and Sheehan won't play. Charles will be on the bench again. Possible starting 11. Baxter. Jones Toal Iredale. Dacres-cogley Maghoma Morley Thomason Ogbeta. Böðvarsson Collins. Kick off is 7.45 pm .

Now about that investment money.
It's not looking the wisest investment is it.

Unfortunately, there are risks when investing. However, it's too early to know what is going to happen. Hopefully, you will come out smiling.

I sold a house in Spain, not my main one, but I have plans for the next twelve months so I didn't invest in the club. Being a five-year deal, it didn't fit in with my plans. The rewards if everything goes well are excellent but I won't be able to access my money in a shorter time, so I locked my money into a 12-month guaranteed bond. Not as much reward, but it is guaranteed.

Now to Football, this is going to be the real squeaky bum time. We are in the playoffs and our squad is not consistent enough, even when we play the lower teams we are stuttering along.

How are we going to cope? I'm not sure, but one thing is for certain, nothing is guaranteed and what makes it worse is we failed to do it last year.

I've lost all hope of achieving the P this season.

The only chance my hope may come back, is after the first ten minutes of the play off final at Wembley.
If we are looking good after that first ten mins, I may start believing again.

How dare they.
Whose bright idea was it, to let the end of season awards go ahead on Saturday evening?
They should be cancelled. Failures do not deserve any awards.

A lot of bunce in it for the club but does seem strange time for poy of year do. Ideally after the last game but not with 1 to go and play offs. Never been one but can remember they had one after relegation at Stoke.
I bet that was a fun night.

A word of caution when Evatt has said that he is not giving up on securing promotion automatically, we may not even get to Wembley.

As for Evatt's comments, I think he's hoping against hope. Sure, mathematically it could still happen but he has witnessed our demise over the last couple of months when it seemed at one point, we were almost nailed on to achieve an automatic spot. I think it's now mission impossible.

If we do fail to get promoted, is his position untenable? I reckon he would be lucky to survive for another season. The only thing that might save him is that his contract has been extended.

Your thoughts, please.

I think if we do fail he's got to get off to a great start to next season with the squad additions that will get us converting the extra chances we've missed.

Even being in the lower bit of play offs by December and I think he's done.

Sorry Cid.
I do believe IE has reached his Phil Neal time.
Just as soon as the play offs are done, would be the kindest time to inform him. Plus, it gives us time before pre-season, to get in some sort of shape behind closed doors.

If we lose 2 consecutive play offs following on from an EFL Trophy win then next season could complete the Phil Neal comparison and go backwards. Tougher league one next year no doubt. Some decent transfer business in and out this team could still get promoted next season but is evatt the manager to do it? I have my own ideas who should go and bring in 2 leaders, one midfielder and one central defender, a creative midfielder probably replacement for Maghoma and a goal scoring striker to partner Collins.
