Bolton Wanderers v Port Vale

2 to go. A feeling of foreboding hangs over todays game, opposite of the excitement this time last week when promotion was still in Bolton's own hands. 2 draws and 4 points dropped leaves Bolton 3 points and 5 goals behind 2nd placed derby. Bolton simply need a win and derby to not win at Cambridge and it goes to the final day and with pressure having strange affects anything can happen. The very least Bolton are guaranteed to finish 4th lowest and are guaranteed to be home in the 2nd leg of the play offs. Port vale are 3 points adrift of safety and will be relegated if they don't win today and Burton beat reading at home. Team news. Still out Mendes Gomes, Adeboyejo who could be back for the play offs, Johnston who is being held back until next season and unfortunately böðvarsson added to the out for the season list. Sheehan and Jones should be back fit today, Santos probably held back until next Saturday. This game was earmarked as a start for Charles in one of Evatt's previous ramblings. Possible line up. Baxter. Jones Toal Iredale. Dacres-cogley Maghoma Sheehan Thomason Ogbeta. Charles Collins. Kick off is 3pm, traditional player lap after the match.

It took until my second brew, to realise it was Thursday today and not Friday.
We've all got an early stupid O'clock kick off time on Saturday. I can see that backfiring at a few grounds.

Don't worry Pasty, saturday will be here before you know it. Just let's hope that everything goes to plan.

SWIE
I've told you before what hope does. It's a killer, always lets you down.
What we need is a miracle on Saturday.

The fact we're the early kick off helps me get over the fact I've lost TNT sports for the early Premier League game.

Last time we were against the odds on the last day I had the song it ain't over till it's over in my head in the shower the morning of the game.

If this happens on Saturday morning then it's very much on.

What's all this, IE talking about going 'Gung Ho' if Derby are behind against Carlisle. When did we last go that mad?
I suppose IE will be expecting Dion not to be the usual

If you have that song in your head in the morning, you might as well not bother watching it. It will only depress you.

I read that but he must be demented if he thinks it will make a difference. What we gain up fron we will miss in midfield.

Here we go ere we go...
Early kick off today, I'm off to market. If only I could take this cow and swap it for some magic beans.
OK then, I'm off to market to get the best of the fresh bakery treats on offer for later.

I'm off to Bolton for a Covid jab. It's going to be tight as my appointment is for 10:50 hours.

A quick jab and a superfast turn around. Wish me luck.
