Chukwuemeka

Hopefully a massive opportunity for him to step in Palmers shoes tonight. As close as we've got to fill the gap in my opinion, glides across the pitch similarly to palmer but brings a more physical presence. Really like what I've seen from this guy and would love to see him given and extended run up until the end of the year. One of the main reasons I'm not worried about Gallagher going, I think he can have a real impact next year if he can stay fit. What's your thoughts on carney?

I think one has to be careful being dismissive of what Gallagher brings to the team and I'm not even talking about his intangible qualities.

Out of possession undoubtedly proved to be our most productive player in springing / initiating press and winning the ball back. Countless of times won the ball against City in dangerous areas when they were trying to play-out, on them like a rash...smartly pressing them into errors and suppressing space.
On the ball, vastly underestimated technical quality (better than most people think). He's worked on possession in tight spaces and it shows, much sharper on the half-turn retaining possession and winning fouls - https://video.twimg.com/amplify_video/1768545383427268608/vid/avc1/1280x708/s2ifZkbRdZUXwCkH.mp4?tag=14
Honed his craft.

There's a place in the squad for him where he can play an valuable role, even when Chukwuemeka & Nkunku are available.
They can all co-exist in a lineup.

Also Gallagher is only one of two players not to miss a match through injury this season (Jackson the other). Valuable asset.

You need Gallagher ilk players in the squad to succeed going forward, as much as you need Nkunku, Chukwuemeka, Jackson, Palmer type players.

So far been pretty average and injury prone (though who hasn't this season?) not sure what all the fuss is about, looked very poor start of the season. Got better, got injured, showed a few flashes, as yet not convinced

Spurs fan in peace - I really can't understand the hype around Gallagher. I get that you need legs in any system to make a team cohesive but Gallagher doesn't really possess the technical ability you'd expect from a midfielder at a top club. I'm a bit nervous about the idea of us taking him off your hands in the summer, should Chelsea choose to sell, as he's not really better than what we already have, aside from an eye for goal from midfield. All it means is less minutes for Sarr, who's just as mobile.

There is no hype around gallagher. He's ridiculously underrated.
He's also more technical than people give him credit. He's far superior technically to sterling, jackson, caicedo, mudryk and thats just from our attacking/midfield players.

Chukwuemeka, He drinks a Whiskey drink, he drinks a Vodka drink
He drinks a Lager drink, he drinks a Cider drink
He sings the songs that remind him of the good times
