When I look at Liverpool's squad, and as such the midfield, what strikes me is a lack of creativity. Given the fact that only Gerrard, (and even then that could be argued) would get into the midfield of those you are competing with. Even if you do manage the top4, I can't imagine the likes of Barcelona worrying about facing the likes of Charlie Adam next season.
The problems lies with the departure of Raul Meireles. I'm not going to suggest that was a mistake, that is obvious. What it does highlight is that your manager would put personal preference ahead of the good of the team. That might have worked in the 80's when you had a strong squad, but it will not work against the United's, City's and Spurs of this world.
I'd be interested in how long you believe Dalglish will stay as Liverpool boss. As well as any other thoughts and opinions.
