The North London Derby. An away game at the end of April with Arsenal chasing the title and Spurs chasing 4th. Last season ended a 9 year winless run in this fixture for Arsenal, dating back to March 2014 when a 2nd minute Rosicky banger was enough. Last January we finally put that to bed thanks to a Lloris howler and an Odegaard goal.
The fixture has some good and some bad memories. Just 2 years ago we saw Champions League football ripped away from us with a Rob Holding disaster class. Almost 20 years to the day ago we sealed the title at the Spurs home - repeating a feat achieved in 1971 - just a few days shy of the 53rd anniversary of that final day success.
The reverse fixture was a 2-2, as Jorginho gifted Spurs an equaliser after Romero helped put us 2-1 ahead with an own goal and conceding a penalty.
The most recent games for both couldn't be more contrasting. Arsenal hammered London rivals Chelsea 5-0, with Havertz and White getting 2 each and Trossard with the other. Spurs were on the receiving end of a similar hammering, losing 4-0 to Newcastle. However, Spurs have had a couple of weeks to get over that and prepare, while Arsenal played Tuesday night.
Spurs have won their last 3 home games, since losing to Wolves back in February. They have 36 points from 48 at home, the sixth best home record in the league with 12 wins and 4 defeats - but interestingly no draws.
Arsenal have won 36 points away from home, 11 wins, 3 draws and 3 defeats on the road.
After Liverpool dropped another 2 points yesterday it is surely now a 2 horse title race. Spurs would love to hammer a nail in the coffin of our title hopes. An Arsenal win would add some pressure to the Man City game with Forest, with City looking imperious as they chase the 5 wins that will give them the title.
Spurs away...

Spurs are garbage, you’ll win by 2 or 3.

Arsenal seem a different beast at the moment I think they'll walk this fixture by 3 or 4 goals

All of our worst results have come to teams hanging around in mid-table. Against teams in the top 6 we've done ok. So far anyway. Could be reading too much into it, but I'd like to think we're more willing to turn up for this game than others. Arsenal need the win and so do we if we want top 4. This should help produce a good game and may give us more chance of winning than one might expect, given the form of the 2 teams.

1-1 is my take. Cagey game where Spurs will suddenly find a decent performance and Arsenal will struggle with the pressure.
But equally could be 6-0 Arsenal.

Sadly, can’t see anything but a goonz victory, 2-3 nil
